Indiana Jones and the Azran Legacy. . . No wait. It’s Prof. Layton.

Posted on 04/25/2014 at 06:56 PM | Filed Under Blogs

I didn't really like the Prof. Layton puzzles because they reminded me too much of math homework, and I HATE math.

I am really looking forward to the Prof. Layton vs. Phoenix Wright game, though.  But not so much the Layton parts.:)

You should definitely try more Phoenix Wright games, they were my favorite game series on the DS.

I reviewed Attack of the Friday Monsters.  It's very charming, especially if you like old Godzilla movies, but the game is very short.

The Prof. Layton cartoon movie is really good, though.  You would like it.

I still don't know how I feel about SM3DL

You don't have to go through all the second set of levels in Mario 3-D Land to rescue Luigi, just a few.

Now I really, really want a Wii U

I'd be on Team Luigi.

Actually if I could, I'd be on Team Toad and have a mushroom hat and red and white polka dotten Wii U controller.

No wait, I'd be on Team Kirby and have a PINK Wii U!  Yeah!

Some PS3 Titles You Shouldnt Miss

I think those RPGs are an acquired taste.  I didn't really get into any of them.  But one PS3 game that seems to get forgotten, but I loved, is the action RPG 3-D Dot Game Heroes.

Amazing VG Themes: Pirate Themes

Posted on 04/24/2014 at 07:26 PM | Filed Under Blogs

You picked some good ones.  I especially liked the piratey songs and themes in DKC2.

Wario Land 2 also had some great pirate themes with Captain Syrup.  Another good one was Zack & Wiki.

It's not video game related, but look up a song on YouTube called The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything.

Okamiden was my Game of the Year for 2011.  I really liked it.

Finally...I Beat Final Fantasy VII

I appreciated FF7 for trying to do different things, but after I finished it, I decided that I really didn't like it very much.

Have you played FF6, FF4, or FF9?  Those are my favorites.

Did you hear that Square announed that the sequel to Theatrhythm Final Fantasy (the FF music game on 3DS) is coming to the US?  I really liked the first one.

OCR Spotlight: Hot for April! (TMNT IV: Turtles in Time)

Posted on 04/24/2014 at 07:43 AM | Filed Under Blogs

I was a little too old to get into TMNT when it first came out.  I didn't get into the toys and I only watched the cartoon because I knew someone who worked on it.  But when the arcade games came out, boy I really got into those!  Later when Turtles in Time came out on the SNES, my little brother Jeff and I played it a lot.  If I accidentallly nabbed the pizza, Jeff would whine and cry out, "MOOOMMMM!  Cary got the pizza!"  Don't blame him, he was just a very little kid.  But we still joke about that today!

My favorite Ridge Racer games are Type 4 for PSOne, Ridge Racer 64, and Ridge Racer 6 on 360 and the one on PSP are good, too.
