Thanks for that. Yeah,it was touch and go. Could have been far worse. Doctors said he was really lucky,but I think God may have helped out there. Just too many coincidences.

Such a great blog! I agree with you on all of it. Especially the "check your priviledge" portion. I know how it feels to be on a limited budget and not have much money. And you're right about how some people believe a college degree makes them somehow more worldly and superior.. All mine do for me is allow me to do my job properly. They helped me get a leg up when I went into the Navy,too. I've never understood the entire backlash against Japanese games and game culture. Not everthing showing cleavage is hentai. Yet somehow it all gets lumped into a general pile of perversion. It was always there and the Japanese seem to like it that way. I remember the whole Nixie Pixel thing. I had been watching her video podcast. Now she has vanished for some reason. Shame,because she did fine work on there. Jessica Chobot just had her baby. That will either give her new perspective or make her unbearable! Ever hear the comedy song "Pregnant Women Are Smug" by Garfunkel & Oates? That was her when she was pregnant. Other women have done this before,I would have told her.
Thanks for the great metal this morning. I needed that! The bass player for Beyond Creation is amazing. The entire band plays with power and precision...I like that. The song by Moss was just epic. That is some Sabbath-style doom rocking going on in that song. Zozobra had some fantastic guitar parts on their song,especially the intro. My favorite singer of these has to be the guy from This Misery Garden. Great stuff!
That guitar is pretty unique. Never seen anyone but Schenker with one before. Folklore is a great PS3 exclusive title that everyone should try out once.

Thanks for the great dose of metal today. That helped my spirits. I'm on vacation right now but dealing with some health issues in my family. Plus the Boston bomb mess...wow. What a crappy day overall. But metal can take my mind off things even for a short bit. Hope your Monday was much better.
Absolutely. They did a fine job and saved lives by their actions. Could have been so much worse. Hope they find out the people responsible for this vicious attack.

Been hearing about it most of the day. My prayers are with the folks hurt by this and the ones who love them. So horrible that someone could do this. I feel awful for those in the ER with terrible wounds. Too tragic and so senseless.....
