2014 in Review

Like I said, I still really liked the game and I do see it being great for kids, which make up for a big part of the Nintendo userbase. It just leaves things left desired by the more older fans (atleast some) or those looking for more challenge.

Five Games I'm Looking Forward to in 2015

From this list I look forward to Zelda Wii U. Aside from that, i'm excited for the Majora's Mask remake, Splatoon, the new Star Fox (or atleast any announcement), The Witcher 3 and most of all, No Man's Sky.

Thanks Dad! (A Late Christmas Loot Blog)

There's nothing like the feeling of getting a new console and then unbox it. Congrats on the 3DS! I'm sure you'll have a very nice time.

I already returned from there, but thanks anyway.

I think the Wii U is very much doing fine since Mario Kart 8 and if not compete with the big boys, atleast be an excellent console with its first party support. The fact that they have much more exclusives than the other two so far doesn't hurt.

I was maybe planning on getting one last game on Steam before the sales were over, but backed down in the end. However, I did get some games that I plan on blogging about.

Gotta love Star Fox 64. You should also check the remake.

I think you loved Super Mario 3D Land more than I had. Don't get me wrong, it's a very nice game, the 3D is great and they succesfully put the New Super Mario Bros level design on 3D, but at the same time it's also the double edge sword, since it's very linear on the levels and world map, often leaving for lack of exploration and choice (even the somewhat linear Galaxy games left you with a lot of choice). It doesn't help that it sometimes feels painfully easy. Hopefully 3D World has improved the formula.

Hell yeah to Sonic Colors! My favorite 3D Sonic thus far.

Atleast you are lucky with Street Pass. I'm at a country with not a lot of 3DS users and if there are, I don't think they'll even care for Street Pass. Atleast I got my first Mii when I was at an airport.

My favorite games of 2014.

I'm at a position of always being late to the party and to 2014 was no stranger. I didn't play any of the games released last year.

Curious about Saint's Row: The Third since from what i've seen on the internet, fans of the second game detest or atleast don't like the third game that much because of lack of content, while those who didn't like the second game anyway love the third game. I gotta see for myself once I play the games.

Damn, I always forget to install Origin and get Titanfall.

Kinda sad that Watch Dogs wasn't what was expected, but hey, I can enjoy it for what it's worth. Since I got wary of Uplay on PC and it's not a good port from what I've been told, I may go for the Wii U version if that one isn't bad.

Sigh, I don't want an Xbone, but Sunset Overdrive is so tempting (and also the Halo collection).

Speaking of the Wii U, since i've got it on christmas, i'll catch up with the games listened here sooner or later. Can't wait to play Bayonetta 2 and Super Smash Bros. 4.

Well, thanks to my cousins and other assorted friends that had a PS1 or PS2.

On the mentioned ones here, i'm mostly looking forward to Splatoon and both Zelda games. Splatoon looks very fun and I don't think i'll have problem getting into it since I already have experience with Team Fortress 2 when it comes to online multiplayer. There's no question about Wii U Zelda and Majora's Mask is one I want to play badly, so I think the remake is a nice choice.

Shantae I'm keeping an eye, since I haven't played the games, but they look so fun. Risky's Revenge made its way to Steam, so I hope to get it this year. Sadly the Wii U doesn't have the shop on Colombian region, so I hope for a Steam port or bring the shop to Colombia to play The Pirate's Curse.

Outside the list, I look forward to the new Wii U Star Fox and outside Nintendo, i'm very hyped for No Man's Sky, while also keeping an eye on The Witcher 3.

Retro Game of the Week: Spyro the Dragon

Oh man, here's another bastion of my childhood. I never owned either two of the first Playstations, but played a lot of the first Spyro on many ocations and even knew the tricks to the first world.
