Well most people know Popeye from the cartoons, but the comics that he originated from were actually way better. Plus, Popeye has Wimpy, who is awesome.
Pokemon Snap was such an original concept. I think it was educational, too, as it taught photography techniques. They need to make a Snap sequel on the Wii U! The first Snap game was made by HAL, makers of Lolo and Kirby, so that's why it was so good.
The other games you listed suck. :) JUST JOKING! JUST JOKING! :)
I have a lot of favorites. Cammy, Chun-Li, Tron Bonne, Ms. Pac-Man, Valkyrie, Taki, Samus, Capt. Syrup, Terra, Tifa, Ulala, etc.
Only good thing about the new Garfield cartoon is that Frank Welker does a good job imitating Lorenzo Music's voice of Garfield. But Lorenzo Music was still way better.
I SHOULD worry about all this serious stuff like sexism in games, but I don't. I just like to have fun with my games.
The Phoenix Wright games are my favorite series on the DS. I can't wait for the 5th one.
If you have an iPad or other iOS device, I'd recommend Layton Brothers: Mystery Room, a game that I just finished reviewing. It stars Prof. Layton's son and you solve murder mysteries and it plays a lot like the Phoenix Wright games.
I reviewed this a while back when it first came out.

Garfield and Friends was in syndication for a very long time. I think it may still be on some international channels.
Thanks! Yes she was.
Some of the tunes in Kirby Air Ride made it in Kirby Mass Attack as well.
