Yeah i'll wait till they figure out all the mechanical aspects of the console before buying. I'm not too concerned about backwards compatibilty as I plan on finishing everything worthwhile on my PS3 before going next gen. My backlog isn't too big at the moment but that might change

The think MGS is my favorite IP full stop. I currently psyching myself up to replay MGS4 after just replaying 2 & 3 on the HD collection. I'm going to wait for a price drop before I get Rising but it looks cool from what I've seen. Looking forward, i'm really excited about getting a MGS5 of sorts on the PS4. THAT is the reason i'll buy next gen

I've been thinking strongly about getting this. I'm currently trapped in the loving grasp of P4G but when I get through that it's between Gravity Rush and Soul Sacrifice (should it be out by than). Thanks for the impressions
I only have Liberations for the vita that came in the bundle. I've yet to dive in but what i've played seems alright. The series has never really stood out for me for some reason
The DLC i've purchased that annoyed me the most was for DOA5. I'm kinda a completionist when it comes to fighting games and unlocking all the costumes. I get the game day 1 and am working through it and next thing I know theres downloadable costumes every other week that you can't unlock. Now that was sickening. Outside of DOA5, I don't really remember what else I've bought. I completely agree with your sentiment here
I don't mind microtransactions being in a game as long as it is not required to experience everything the game offers. The day they start charging for the ultimate weapon you "need" to beat the end boss is the day i'm done. I'm ok with it if microtransactions are only used as a shortcut for people who don't have the time to invest in a game to get all the best items. I'll just continue to skip them... Jeez I mean they already catch me for dlc
I've been pumping some serious hours into P4G on the Vita. If you've never been privy to it i'd highly recommend. Looking at the bigger picture though, it looks like the 3DS has more options at the moment. I'm am however looking forward to Y's and Soul Sacrifice when they come out later this year for Vita. And the FF X HD remake of course 
I'm interested to see how Nintendo responds leading up to November and the PS4/Nextbox release dates. They're at least gonna put up a fight so in the end we gamers will be the real winners
