I wish there was a site that listed all the new indie game releases. Metacritic doesn't list them even if they are on XBLI. I usually find out about them word of mouth like I did for Penny Arcade Adventures IV and the other Zeboyd games.
Indie PC Gaming for the Console Connoisseur
Indie gaming on the PC is easier than you might think. Here's an introduction to getting started, and some games you might enjoy.
NEW HITS THAT THRILL:
Night of the Rabbit
Point-and-click adventure games have had a bit of a renaissance with the appearance of indie PC games and mobile devices. This one is an anthropomorphic fantasy about talking animals and magic, featuring a young boy who dreams of becoming a great wizard – a dream that takes him to some fantastic places. With about twenty hours of game play, this one will captivate you for quite a while.
Fez
While actually released on Xbox live some time ago and to serious critical acclaim, Fez has finally been released on PC, and is considerably cheaper now than its original incarnation as a $15 XBLA title. Considered by some to be a work of genius, and considered by others to just be a damn good game, Fez is a little puzzle/platforming game featuring exploration by a little creature named “Gomez”. Players inhabit a world that may be 2D, may be 3D, or may be something else entirely, as they scrutinize obscure clues and 8-bit nuances.
Don’t Starve
This is an action/adventure/survival game where you navigate the trials of a strange wilderness. Players have to figure out where to go, what to do, and how survive the harsh environments by crafting and building structures, and avoiding monsters. Worlds are randomly generated, so you never know what kinds of experience you will have.
