Play Bastion on Chrome

The XBLA/PC game can now be played straight in your browser.

Google's new "Native Client" technology allows high-end programs to run directly from the Chrome browser window. Many developers can use this to allow programs that normally would need to run off of a computer directly to run off an internet browser, which is more flexible. Furthermore, Chrome will store your game saves in the cloud, allowing you to pick up and play the game from a Chrome browser on any computer, with any operating system.

Shigeru Miyamoto Altering His Role at Nintendo But Not Leaving Big Projects

However, Wired magazine is saying otherwise.

LATEST UPDATE: Wired magazine is defending its reporting of Miyamoto stating he's stepping down, in a statement to G4. Some, including Nintendo, are claiming that this was due to a misunderstanding, perhaps due to a translation error, since Miyamoto spoke in his native Japanese. However, Wired editor Chris Kohler says that the translator was Nintendo's own. “It was Mr. [Yasuhiro] Minagawa; who has been Miyamoto’s translator for a very, very, very long time,” Kohler said. “I did an interview with Miyamoto in 2002, and Mr. Minagawa was Miyamoto’s translator then. It is Nintendo’s translator, not ours.”

Or is this just another title for Night Springs?

We’re just two days away from seeing the first trailer of the next chapter in the Alan Wake series on the Spike TV VGAs, but we have some interesting news today for fans of Mr. Wake. David Jaffe Would Like to Avoid Online Pass for Twisted Metal

The outspoken developer says they have a "mountain to climb" to success.

David Jaffe has long had a reputation for being an extremely outspoken developer. This is rare in an industry where so much information comes from a multitude of PR reps that are scared to let the game makers talk directly to the press. Jaffe has earned his right to speak his mind, considering that he’s responsible for two of the biggest selling PlayStation franchises in history.  Those franchises would be God of War and Twisted Metal, which was the focus of a recent interview. There were some interesting revelations in this talk, including the fact that Jaffe isn’t too keen on the idea of shipping Twisted Metal with an online pass.

It took us a long time to finally get the Club Nintendo rewards program on this side of the globe, and some people would say that the American version of CN gets the short end of the stick. The Marketing Genius of Nintendo of America

Was there any real doubt that Xenoblade was coming stateside?

Last Friday, Nintendo of America announced that the Nintendo faithful and loyal supports of Operation Rainfall would be granted one of their longstanding wishes with the stateside release of heralded RPG Xenoblade Chronicles this upcoming April.  The news came at a precarious time for Nintendo. With Skyward Sword having been released this past month, Nintendo’s upcoming release schedule was looking just a little more than barren.

Vita Not Limited to a Single Account After All

Seems rumors of the Vita's demise have been greatly exaggerated.

We reported earlier this week that the Vita would be limited to a single PSN account per system and would require a factory reset to swap to another account.  Turns out that isn’t entirely accurate. Sony has stepped forward and clarified that the PSN accounts are bonded to the memory stick and not to the system itself.
