Dreamcast Titles Coming to XBLA and PSN

The re-released classics will be available to commemorate the eleventh anniversary of the Dreamcast.

Sega confirmed yesterday that two classic Dreamcast titles will be making their way to both Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network. Both Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi will be making their debut on the week of September 9, the eleventh anniversary of the Dreamcast.

Mortal Kombat 9 Returning to its Roots

The next iteration of the Mortal Kombat series will be in 2D.

Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment announced yesterday that Mortal Kombat 9 is coming. The game will stray from the 3D style it has adapted and make a return to its 2D roots on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011.

Telltale Announces Back to the Future and Jurassic Park Games

Telltale has announced that they have secured the rights to develop video games based on the Back to the Future and Jurassic Park franchises. The first game from this agreement will be a season of episodic content from Back to the Future, with the Jurassic Park games following shortly after.

Alan Wake Review

Remedy's latest title fails to impress, but still manages some good ideas.

After seven years, Remedy has finally resurfaced with their newest release, Alan Wake, a title which has been in development equally as long. The third person shooter has elements that manage to bring back memories of their previous title, Max Payne. While there’s no bullet-time shooting or film noir storyline this time around, it does keep the fun shooting mechanics that made their previous effort an instant classic.

Red Dead Redemption Review

Don't be fooled, this isn't just GTA in the Wild West.

The Wild West is one time and setting that is completely underused in modern gaming. Though the period seems to have everything you'd want in a game - guns, lawlessness, character-worthy people, and an interesting setting, developers seem to have largely neglected it. Red Dead Redemption proves testament to just how great the setting is and just how to make a game that capitalizes on all of the features it has to offer.

White Knight Chronicles 2 Requires Clear Data From First Title

Players who didn't beat the first game will be forced to play the original from the very beginning before playing the sequel.

Tour de 64: Banjo-Kazooie

The bear and bird's original N64 adventure.

I never owned this one back during its time. Yeah, yeah, I'm sure some of you would consider that to be blasphemy, but what can I say? I actually never even heard of it, but this was before the widespread days of the Internet, and I never heard anyone talk about it. It wasn't until I started collecting that I bought this game. I completed it then, but I haven't really played it since that time.
