2D Castlevania games have been on a short hiatus since the release of Order of Ecclesia on the Nintendo DS in 2008. Four years later and we’re finally seeing a new title, this one for the Nintendo 3DS. Development has shifted hands to Mercury Stream, the same team behind Castlevania: Lords of Shadow on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Fittingly, the brand new title, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate is set 25 years after the events of the original game, telling the tale of Gabriel’s descendants.

LEGO City: Undercover Preview

Lego City was announced at last year’s E3.  Initially the concept was a curiosity; gamers and journalists alike were unsure of exactly what we would expect from the title once it was formally revealed.  Nintendo’s press conference on Tuesday gave us all some clarity and presented an open world, story driven game that will be the Lego brand’s most ambitious video game title yet.

Portal 2 Back In Motion with Move DLC

Co-op with your PlayStation Move Controller.

For everyone with Portal 2 for the PlayStation 3, another pack of DLC will arrive later this year. Utilizing the PlayStation Move, the new pack of DLC, titled Back in Motion, will include missions optimized for the aforementioned controller. The content had previously only been enabled for use with the Razer Hydra peripheral on the PC.

Nintendo Confirms Ability to Transfer Wii Data to Wii U

This includes WiiWare and Virtual Console games, as well as saves.

Tonight's developer roundtable has brought to light that players will be able to transfer all of their Wii data to their Wii U. Purchased goods from the Wii Shop Channel, namely WiiWare and Virtual Console games, as well as saves can all be brought over.

Platinum Games Unveils Project P-100

Nintendo was holding back at their conference, it appears.

Platinum Games - developers of Bayonetta, Madworld and the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Rising: Revengeance - unveiled their first foray onto the Nintendo Wii U in the tentatively titled Project P-100.  The game was demoed live on Spike TV shortly after the conclusion of Nintendo’s E3 press conference.

Augmented Reality Comes to Books with Wonderbook

Sony's latest will debut with a special book/game from JK Rowling.

During last night's Sony presentation, the company lifted the veil on their latest work, Wonderbook. Using this generic AR marker, players will be able to read books on the screen and interact with the book in unique ways. The Wonderbook appears to be a platform of sorts as it will host a variety of different books, first and most notably, Book of Spells from JK Rowling.
