Dene and Simon Carter have formed a new studio have departing from Peter Molyneux's team.

Former Lionhead Studios staffers Dene and Simon Carter have formed Another Place Productions, a new UK-based studio, according to Joystiq. Both brothers worked on the Fable series and have brought with them several other members of the Fable development team.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning "The Legend of Dead Kel" DLC Announced

The first story-driven DLC will also include a whole new continent.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is getting more DLC with the announcement of The Legend of Dead Kel, the first DLC for the game to be story-driven. Players will travel to the island of Gallows End, a new continent to explore, and encounter new enemies and side quests, as well as new weapons and items.

After revealing their next title, the Kinect game Fable: The Journey, details on the game or a statement of any kind has not been released. It seems that will change as a countdown clock has appeared on the developer's website today.

NeverDead DLC On The Way

Some online content and challenges are on the way.

Konami released DLC for NeverDead today and announced another DLC pack to be released next week. The first DLC pack, creatively entitled NeverDead Expansion Pack Volume 1, includes Nikki Summerfield as a playable character, three additional challenges within the Asylum level and two new costumes for Bryce Boltzmann.

Australia Introduces R18+ Rating

All M rated games could soon be legal in the land down under.

After years of waiting, Australia will soon be able to introduce a rating higher than the current cap of MA15+.  Previously, the lack of a higher rating caused several titles rated M in the US, to be heavily censored or outright banned in that country.  The list of banned titles includes the soon to be released Syndicate, as well as previously released titles such as Mortal Kombat, Left 4 Dead 2, Silent Hill: Homecoming, and Fallout 3.

NeverDead Review

Despite sounding great on paper, NeverDead fails in its execution.

I don’t even know which direction to start ripping NeverDead to pieces from first. From the uneven repetitive combat to the unbearably frustrating “health” system, this action game is an absolute disaster.
