Retro City Rampage Coming to PS3 and Vita

Developer Brian Provinciano has revealed that Retro City Rampage, his classic gaming homage, is coming to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita today in a report by Game Informer. Some form of cloud saving between the two versions was also confirmed.

Indie Games on Xbox Live Get More Exposure

The latest dashboard update gives the indie scene more attention.

Last fall, a dashboard update changed the layout of the Xbox 360 interface to the new metro style currently being used. Among the various problems the new layout presented, such as connection problems with the UFC app, was the way indie games were promoted, in that they weren't. XBLIGs were buried under various menus and sub categories, making the task of finding them a quest in itself.

Call of Duty Coming to Vita

Guy Longworth of Sony spills the beans in a recent interview.

While the Call of Duty series tends to make its way to all of the available platforms, up until now, nothing has been formally announced for Sony's upcoming handheld system. Though Activision has still yet to make any sort of proper announcement of the game, an interview with Geoff Keighley on GameTrailers.com revealed that a title is indeed in the works. Guy Longworth, Senior Vice President for PlayStation Brand Marketing stated in passing that a Call of Duty title will release for the Vita this fall.

Gamestop Posting Reveals Assassin's Creed Revelations DLC

Lost Archive is due for release soon.

It has been rumored that a single player expansion for Assassin's Creed Revelations is in the works, but Ubisoft has still yet to reveal even the existence of the DLC. Thanks to a Gamestop listing (discovered by Game Revolution), it's now clear that something is in fact in the works and due for release soon - very soon. According to Gamestop, Assassin's Creed Revelations: Lost Archive is slated for release on Feburary 28.

Little Deviants Review

This glorified tech demo fails to deliver an entertaining experience.

It is immediately clear that Little Deviants was designed to let you play with all of the Vita’s features. Within the first half hour you will use the touch screen, rear touch pad, motion controls, camera, and even the microphone. The ideas displayed are definitely interesting, but within that first half hour you will have seen everything the game has to offer. By the time I reached my first hour of gameplay I was already bored of all of the mini-games – even the good ones.

PlayStation Vita Review

Home console quality gaming meets the handheld market.

Mobile devices have put casual gaming at the frontlines of the handheld market, but Sony’s PlayStation Vita is a newly bred handheld beast with the power of current-gen gaming. It would be good to ask if Sony’s hardcore approach amongst the current casual gaming boom is a smart business move, but that can only be revealed in the near future. For now, we can only look at the Vita’s technical specs to judge the system. With that in mind, the Vita is a console with a lot of highs and only a few lows.
