PB & Jason Issue 83: A Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich is not a Podcast

PB & Jason is not about sandwiches, it's about video games!

Good thing, too, since you can find a lot of commentary on gaming news in this week's PB & Jason. Things like the real story of Peter Molyneux's departure from Lionhead Studios. Other things, like Sonic 4: Episode 2's Wii woes. Don't forget information on why Cliff Bleszinski thinks on-disc DLC is a necessary evil! Defenders of Ardania Review

Venture into a fantastical world that will bore you beyond anything you’ve ever imagined!

The visuals in Defenders of Ardania are pretty OK.  And thus ends the discussion of the good things about Defenders of Ardania. Diabolical Pitch Review

Yet another bizarre and engaging experience from the minds that created No More Heroes and Shadows of the Damned.

Taking use of the Kinect, the title melds gesture-based gameplay and your traditional gallery shooter, and tops it off with a bizarre story and setting. Rather than a shot out of the park, the spotty controls make this baseball-themed game a shallow shot to the outfield.

Armored Core V Review

A select few will go nuts for this game that most people will hate.

Armored Core V has its faults. Whether it's the limp story mode or the user-hating menu system, its design is sure to scare away most. However, gamers who love to decipher complex systems and are willing to invest the time will find an experience that's incredibly engaging.  Armored Core V doesn’t shy away from its inscrutable nature, which will drive the compulsive number-crunching freaks to get that much more obsessed with figuring it all out.  Throw in the blitzkrieg, large scale mech battles, and you have a mixture that appeals to a very specific type of gamer – and they are going to need a professional intervention to pull them away.

And it's already over its goal!

Hot on the heels of our MIA feature highlighting Crimson Skies, Jordan Weisman, co-creator of that game, as well as MechWarrior, Battletech, Mage Knight, and Hero Clicks, launched a kickstarter campaign to fund the digital return of another of his creations: Shadowrun.  The big news is that after a mere twenty eight hours, the goal of $400,000 has already been exceeded and is still rising steadily.
