It's nearly a year away, but a new racer from Sega is on its way.
Today's Toy Fair in New York brought some interesting news for Sega fans. Kotaku reports that toys for a Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing sequel were on display and exhibitors confirmed that the new title will be making its way to retail this holiday season.

Not content to release a "dull and outright boring" 2012 Olympics mini-game collection just for the Wii, Sega was kind enough to spread its time-tested mediocrity to the 3DS.
The Nintendo 3DS version of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games will be available on February 14, 2012.
Even though Electronic Arts had a good year, some developers are being let go.
Electronic Arts is in the process of "restructuring", according to a report on The Escapist. The publisher is laying people off in its Canadian workforce, specifically EA Canada and Black Box. The reason for this is unknown considering EA had good sales numbers in 2011.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning will be available for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on February 7, 2012.
Also, Star Wars: The Old Republic has 1.7 million subscribers.
Electronic Arts made public its financial results for the third fiscal quarter of 2011 and it's reporting that both Battlefield 3 and FIFA 12 sold 10 million copies each across their respective platforms. It also reports that Star Wars: The Old Republic has 1.7 million active subscribers and has sold more than two million units in just a little over a month.

EA's forums went offline yesterday without any warning. Electronic Arts has revealed today that it was because the forums were hacked. However, EA has already fixed the issue and the forums are now back online. According to EA UK community manager Dan Sheridan:
