Journey Collector's Edtion Coming August 28

The collection of thatgamecompany games will also include some extra content.

Further details on last week's announced Journey Collector's Edition have been revealed. It seems that we won't have to wait long for the compilation of flOw, Flower and Journey as it will hit store shelves in August as previously speculated, specifically August 28, 2012. The first disc-based release for thatgamecompany will be released in conjunction with Sony's Santa Monica Studio, will retail for $29.99 and will come packed with some interesting extra features.

Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut DLC Releasing Tomorrow

The free extended ending is right around the corner.

The long awaited DLC that is meant to clear up and expand upon the controversial endings to Mass Effect 3 is on the horizon. Due out Tuesday, June 26, the Extended Cut DLC will expand upon the ending that left so many people in an uproar for weeks after the initial release of the game.

Sony Announces Journey Collector's Edition

All of thatgamecompany's games will be sold on one disc.

Following the announcement of thatgamecompany's multiplatform transition, Sony has decided to group up their trio of PlayStation Network titles and release it as a single Blu-ray disc. Journey Collector's Edition will feature flOw, Flower, and Journey, but it's unclear if extras will be packaged on the disc.

THQ Announces Next Saints Row-Continues to Restructure

The company's VP has also stepped down.

THQ has been in the news a lot lately, due to its financial woes that have caused the company to completely restructure. This has resulted in everything from massive layoffs to the selling off of game properties such as the UFC license to EA and Devil’s Third by Tomonobu Itagaki’s Valhalla Studios. Well, that restructuring continues, as we’ve learned of a few more developments in the ongoing saga of this long-suffering publisher.

Nintendo Land Preview

AKA Nintendo Circus, depending on who you ask

Like many of you out there, I wasn’t terribly impressed by Nintendo’s press conference at this year’s E3. One of the things they touted as being a major showpiece was a game called Nintendo Land. Much like Wii Sports, the aim of this title is to introduce players to a new controller--in this case the Wii U GamePad--through a virtual theme park bursting with references to classic Nintendo franchises. At each attraction, your mii will don an appropriate costume and partake in a challenge that teaches the player a new way to use the Wii U GamePad.  Nintendo’s hope is that this game will do for the Wii U what Wii Sports did for the Wii, and explain to new players exactly what the Wii U is all about.

Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two Preview

The mouse and rabbit unite! No,not that rabbit.

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two has something to prove. The first game created divided opinions, and the announcement of a sequel wasn't exactly highly anticipated. However, a sequel is just what Junction Point is creating, and the return of Mickey aims to appeal to a wider audience by fixing the issues of the first game while also bringing the world of Wasteland to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in addition to the Wii.

Disney Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion Preview

Reality Is What You Paint Of It.

Epic Mickey was released in 2010 to extremely polarizing reviews. Junction Point aims to address the criticisms of the game in hopes of reaching a larger audience with Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two. In addition to the console sequel a portable game for the 3DS from developer Dreamrift was revealed at E3, and while it shares the same concept as Epic Mickey, this title is mostly inspired by the Sega Genesis classic Castle of Illusion.

Tomba! Releasing on PSN Next Week

The cult classic side-scroller will finally be affordable and digital to boot.

Courtesy of MonkeyPaw Games, cult classic PSone side-scroller, Tomba! will see release on the PlayStation Network next week. Set to debut on June 19 for $9.99, players will be able to save themselves a whole wad of cash on this rare gem originally released in 1998.
