UPDATE: In just two short days, the project has been officially backed, easily surpassing the $900,000 goal initially set by inXile. Currently the team is sitting at $980k, just short of a cool million; with 32 more days to go it's likely the project will accumulate much more. The story from 3/13/2012 can be found below.

The man behind Fable and Black and White leaves for a new studio.
Peter Molyneux, the man behind such well loved franchises as Fable, Black and White and Populous has announced via Twitter that he has left both Microsoft and Lionhead Studios in order to join a brand new company.

Vita-specific controls in an Uncharted game are a bad idea.
Uncharted: Golden Abyss marks the first entry in the critically acclaimed series to have not been developed by Naughty Dog. But Sony's Bend Studio has done a fairly good job of carrying the torch to their new handheld system. The bigger problem with Golden Abyss is that it takes every available opportunity to shoehorn in Vita-specific controls, and more importantly, the tale that it tells fails to grab your attention until roughly halfway through.
The third DLC pack is on the way.
Via a press release, Sony Online Entertainment has revealed that the third DLC pack for DC Universe Online is on the way. Entitled The Battle for Earth, the DLC includes new raids, new open world content, and a new power set. The pack will have players fighting on Wonder Woman's home island, South Gotham and a battle with Brainiac.
Dene and Simon Carter have formed a new studio have departing from Peter Molyneux's team.
Former Lionhead Studios staffers Dene and Simon Carter have formed Another Place Productions, a new UK-based studio, according to Joystiq. Both brothers worked on the Fable series and have brought with them several other members of the Fable development team.

After Assassin's Creed III information was leaked and subsequently officially confirmed yesterday, fans have been reeling over the news. Set during the Revolutionary War, the series is set to tap into completely new territory for gaming in general. Hot on the heels of the announcement come five pieces of what look like screen shots, but are more likely concept art given the coloration and smoothness of the images. The images come courtesy of All Games Beta, but there's no indication of how they managed to procure them. Be sure to click through to get a look at all of the images!

UPDATE - The Cave is confirmed to not be the official name for the Double Fine Adventure, which is being financed by their Kickstarter fund. The following was released by Double Fine: "While we can't comment on unannounced projects, we can say that Double Fine's Kickstarter-funded adventure game has not been started, designed, or even imagined yet. No trademarks have been filed on its behalf."
