Uncharted: Golden Abyss Preview

Drake's handheld debut is so much more than a recreation of its console brethren.

Drake is capable of many superhuman acts.  He can scale nigh impassable rock faces, he can run, gun, jump and punch – he can do all these things without exuding a single drop of sweat and with a clear conscience to boot, despite all the blood he has shed over the years.  But all of this pales in comparison to what Sony is asking of him now.  Soon we’ll see what Drake is really made of and if he can move the PlayStation Vita off store shelves and into the pockets of gamers.

Sir Paul McCartney is known for such classic hit songs as "Hey Jude", "My Love" and "No More Lonely Nights", as well as being a member of Wings and, of course, The Beatles. Scarygirl Review

Is she supposed to be scary because she looks like a ragdoll dressed as a pirate?

Video games are art. Many people, including myself, stand by this philosophy and when asked for an example, many of us will point to recently made indie titles like Flower, Braid, and Bastion. All of these titles are part of a renaissance of old school design that are making a comeback on the downloadable front. These highly stylized yet minimalistic games are supposed to represent video games in their purest form. At first glance, ScaryGirl looks like another great title in this tradition, but instead you get something more akin to Tim Burton presents Earthworm Jim watching Invader Zim.

3rd Parties Have Final Wii U Devkits in Hand

Does this mean that the next Nintendo console will see more support?

What Nintendo showed at the 2011 E3 Wii U reveal was only a taste of what their new console would be capable of.  The sizzle reel displayed footage of games running on competing platforms and the conceptual demos were not running on final hardware.  Truth be told, the Wii U’s coming out party may have resulted in more questions than answers.  Nintendo promised strong third party support, but it’s largely been unknown when developers would get a chance to really work with the hardware.

Zen Pinball 3D Review

Zen’s latest release is a good value for aspiring pinball wizards; just leave the 3D off!

You might have seen other pinball offerings from Zen; they are probably the most prominent creator of pinball video games out there right now on the iOS, Android, PSN, and XBOX Live Arcade platforms.  The four tables in Zen Pinball 3D all appear elsewhere, which shouldn’t really be an issue for most pinball fans, since mastering tables takes practice and repetition.  Zen’s latest package in the Nintendo 3DS eShop, Zen Pinball 3D, will satisfy those residual pinball yearnings.
