Xbox 360 Update Tomorrow will Have Some Content Missing

YouTube and TV providers missing the update's launch.

The big Xbox 360 fall dashboard update is finally coming out tomorrow and I personally blame my OCD tendencies for being so excited for it. Announced this year at E3 2011, the update includes Bing searching, YouTube, Live TV and EPIX, among other features. A UFC app was also announced but we know that it's been delayed to December 20 instead of its original date of December 1. Now it seems that the dashboard update will be missing a lot of the announced apps, at least at launch.

Watching dudes beating the crap out of each other on the 360 will have to wait a bit longer.

The UFC on Xbox Live app will be released on December 20, a delay of three weeks from the previously announced date. The app will allow Xbox Live members to watch UFC pay-per-view events, use Kinect to control playback and communicate with other viewers on your friends list if you have a Gold membership.

Monday Night PlayBit: Delayed!

It was going to be Kirby's Return to Dreamland.

Why is this week's Monday Night PlayBit delayed? Because the game to be featured in the PlayBit is nowhere to be found! After a pretty complete search of area stores, Kirby's Return to Dreamland isn't in any of them. It seems despite the October 24th release date, the game will not be in stores until tomorrow. Given this, expect there to be a "PlayBit Tonight" on Wednesday, beginning at 7:30 PM instead. I hope to see you then!

Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 Review

The commando returns for the sequel to the remake of the classic NES platformer.

The second iteration of Capcom’s Bionic Commando reboot once again takes us to the brutally difficult world of old-school NES platformers. Gameplay improvements and an awesome soundtrack await returning players as they precariously swing the commando from level to level. Technical issues keep the game from feeling too polished as a whole, but fans of the original may be pleasantly surprised as they play through the game’s many environments.

The Da Vinci Disappearance Review

Find art, save Da Vinci, and meet his lov… errand boy!

Now that I’ve finally gotten around to playing the latest Assassin’s Creed title, I’ve also gotten the opportunity to play the related DLC, which functions well as a standalone extra after completing the quest, or as an integrated set of tasks into the rest of your objectives. The Da Vinci Disappearance is quite the hefty offering, clocking in at around two hours of gameplay in its single player exploits. The DLC also adds a couple of new modes to the multiplayer mode; your mileage with the new content may vary.
