Silent Hill HD Collection Delayed to March

Gamers will have to wait a bit longer for these HD remakes.

Konami has confirmed that the Silent Hill HD Collection has been delayed to March 6, 2012 after retailers Amazon, GameFly, and GameStop changed the launch dates on their websites.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD Coming Summer 2012

New pro skaters will be included in the game.

Now that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD has been revealed by the man himself, details about the remake are being released. Tony Hawk Ride developer Robomodo is handling the remake, but unlike their work on Ride and Shred, this game will feature standard controls. It's currently scheduled for release summer 2012 with a tentative price of $15 "only on leading consoles."

Jak and Daxter HD Collection Officially Outed

Naughty Dog's platforming dynamic duo returns in February.

Last month we reported that there were some indications that Jak and Daxter were going to get the HD update treatment and be collected into a single package on the PlayStation 3.  Today we can confirm this rumor as Evan Wells, co-president of Naughty Dog, wrote in the Official PlayStation Blog that the Jak and Daxter Collection will make its debut in February.

Jak & Daxter HD Collection was first seen on a South African retailer's site. At the time, it didn't seem like a valid source but now more evidence has surfaced. It appears that the Jak & Daxter Trilogy is real, and will be coming to the PlayStation 3.

HD collections seem to be all the rage these days.  The craze began with Sony’s release of the God of War collection – collecting the first two games in the series – on the PS3.  This was promptly followed up by the HD Sly Cooper Collection, also on the PS3.

Resident Evil Chronicles HD Select Announced for PS3

Resident Evil on rails is coming to a PS3 near you.

It may be hard to believe, but Resident Evil is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.  As a result we’ve had a relative tsunami of Resident Evil announcements and re-releases this year, and today we’re reporting on yet another piece of Resident Evil news. The on-rails Resident Evil shooters on the Wii are now making their way to the PS3.

God of War: Origins Collection Review

Kratos, a man of many emotions – angry, pissed off, furious, and did I mention angry?

Good news, everyone! PixlBit has already reviewed both Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta. Both received a rating of 4 stars on the PSP, and if you're a fan of the series, surely the same will hold true here. Sony has lovingly ported these games to the PlayStation 3 with great results. Both games look strikingly good for PSP remasters and both control as you'd expect with the de facto PlayStation controller, as opposed to the often awkward PSP nub.

Sony Releases New Owner's Kit

Accessory bundle includes a Dual Shock 3 Controller, HDMI and USB cable.

Sony continues to help introduce gamers to high definition gaming by releasing a new accessory bundle to accompany their new console. Gamers can now pre-order this bundle, called the New Owner's Kit. It will include a Dual Shock 3 controller, an HDMI cable for 1080p resolution as well as Blu-Ray support, and a USB cable.

NFL Blitzes Online in January

Fans rejoice as NFL Blitz returns as a downloadable game early next year.

In a time long ago that I shall refer to as the 90s, EA’s NFL series wasn’t the only football gig in town.  I know it’s hard to believe, but it’s true and one of the more prolific titles was Midway Games’ NFL Blitz, an arcade take on America’s favorite past time – face it, no one cares about baseball anymore.
