Samurai Shodown Sen Review

What the hell happened to this series?

The Samurai Shodown series has been around at this point for quite a while. Years ago, it helped redefine the fighting genre by working in a variety of new ideas, most prominently, weaponry. Unfortunately for the series, over time it has become less and less relevant, especially when it made its move to 3D. Since that point, it has struggled to find its identity, and this shows through in the latest iteration of the series, Samurai Shodown Sen.

XSEED to Publish Ivy the Kiwi? in America

Prope's latest title will be released on the Wii and DS in America this summer.

XSEED announced earlier this week that they plan to publish Prope's latest title, Ivy the Kiwi? on Wii and DS. Prope is known for its work on both Let's Tap and Let's Catch, and is headed up by Sonic the Hedgehog creator, Yuji Naka.

Nintendo is now including an extra game and accessory, while keeping the system at its current price point.

Days ago, a Gamestop display poster was leaked, showcasing the new Wii bundle that would be available in both black and the traditional white.

Just Cause 2 Review

A grappling hook and parachute should spell success for this sandbox game, right?

I can't seem to sort out Just Cause 2. On one hand, it's frantic fun, with a bunch of unique gameplay elements that differentiate it from the massive number of sandbox games out there. On the other, its execution is so subpar that I can't help but dislike it. In other words, when Just Cause 2 is good, it's great, but when it's bad, it's really bad.

Capcom's latest downloadable release is a dual offering which pairs the classic Arcade title, Final Fight, with a less familiar brethren, Magic Sword. Like many re-released titles this generation, both titles are Arcade-accurate with a few augmented abilities which aim to improve the overall game experience.

WarioWare finally puts the tools in players' hands.

After many iterations of the WarioWare series focused on different control mechanics, the series has finally been taken into a new direction, one which focuses on game creation. Given the simple mini-games that comprise each game in the series, it was clear that one day players could partake in the fun; creating their own mini-games to complement those found in the game. WarioWare D.I.Y. provides players with exactly what they have been waiting for in a comprehensive, yet accessible package on the DS.
