I agree ... I guess. I liked the Little Mac and Bayonetta 2 trailers.

Defense baby, defense...
Today was the first Nintendo Direct for 2014 and they did show some new announcements, thought nothing mind-blowing. I will post some of my favorite highlights. But first here are todays blog highlights:
playdos comes back to Fallout 3
NSonic79 protects his WiFi connection
KnightDriver's Games of his life Part 5
asrealasitgets doesn't believe GBA VC is coming
transmet2033 is addicted to a game
Vice's Assistant talks new Smash Bros challenger
And with that out of the way, here are my favorite highlights of Nintendo Direct:
Bayonetta 2 This was shown during the end of the direct and does the footage look really good. Here is the footage and see for yourself:
GBA Virtual Console Games: So it has finally been announced that GBA games will finally come to the Wii U's Virtual Console sometime this spring. Some of the announced titles will be Mario and Luigi Super Star Saga, Metroid Fusion, and the GBA version of Yoshi's Island. I mean it's good that we are getting them, but 2 of those are 3DS Ambassador games and Nintendo said they were exclusive to Ambassadors. People are gonna complain but who cares, GBA VC game are finally here.
They also showed new footage of Monolith Soft's title X and the game looks really nice, here is the footage:
Mario Kart 8: They announced new playable characters for the game and they are the Koopa Kids, all 7 of them. It's cool but feel they wasted 7 slots, hopefully we see some never before seen racers. And the game is coming May 30th. Here is the footage:
A new challenger for Smash Bros: Here is the footage:
Kirby Triple Deluxe: Some new footage was shown along with a May 2 release date, but other places have it listed for May 5 but here is the footage:
Also Steel Diver is free on the eShop. My thoughts on the Direct is that it was good, but nothing really earth shattering in my opinion. The 3DS is getting alot of love from Nintendo and the Wii U isn't getting enough games. I mean what do we have after DK? Mario Kart 8? I mean I'm going to get MK8 but there really isn't anything outside that and Smash Bros. It seems Nintendo is banking on those 2 titles to sell the Wii U. I mean sure they are system sellers but Mario Kart isva late spring release and Smash Bros is to be released before or by the end of the year. Plus there are way more 3DS systems in peoples homes than Wii U's. Plus now that Smash is portable which version do you think they are going to get? I'm getting both versions at launch but I'm probably in the small minority of people who own both a 3DS and a Wii U. Who knows, I could be wrong.
So what did you think of the Direct? Thanks for reading and later.
