Since my refund is likely coming for the last two games that crapped out on me (AC: Origins and Sunset Overdrive), I bought Celeste for $15.99 and for $4.48 altogether decided since I'm Polish (or at least my real last name is) and already own Witcher III for PS4, the enhanced editions of Witcher and Witcher II sounded like a great deal.

Turns out Sunset Overdrive and Assassin's Creed Origins do not work on my PC. I've already been refunded for Origins (well, received an email saying I'd see the charge removed or a credit in my bank account within 14 business days) and have been sent an email regarding my refund request for Sunset Overdrive.

Yeah, I don't want to look at how much I've spent on games in the last week or so. I've basically become my own Santa, but with a lot less impulse control than I imagine Santa to have.

I played a little of my Christmas present, Spyro Reignited Trilogy today and I absolutely love it so far, save for a couple spots where I just barely miss a landing out of a glide. It's pretty relaxing overall, focusing much more on exploration than anything else, and with one-or-two-hit enemies occasionally mixed in with the collectibles. There's a lot of personality here and it even looks like a modern day cartoon show with better animation.

I saw Aquaman last night, and while the dialogue is cheesy and expository as all hell, I thought Mamoa and Herd worked really well together (Herd being a hot redhead in the movie didn't hurt), the general National Treasure meets an episode of Power Rangers vibe was a fun plus for me rather than a negative, and the biggest strength the movie has going for it in my mind is the stunning visuals. I thought James Wan did an excellent job creating the world of Atlantis and I honestly would love to do an IMAX 3D double feature of Into the Spider-Verse and Aquaman.

Into the Spider-Verse is probably the most interesting style I've seen a movie take on in recent memory. It does the comic book panel thing Ang Lee's Hulk tried to do really well, the animation style goes really well with Miles Morales' graffiti art hobby, and the rap/hip-hop soundtrack is the first I've heard in a while that actually matches what's on screen in a complementary way.
