I said Mark and I would be deep into Gears of War: Judgment, and so we were. It was an all day session today. We beat the game, and right away started a second playthrough to gather the remaining cog collectibles and play through all the levels on Normal difficulty. It's all about the achievements now and trying new things in the game.

Too many words for a blog again, so I'll get right to my Sunday game fest. 

This morning a Microsoft Store opened in the King of Prussia Mall. This is the mall I've been going to since the arcade years. I couldn't get up early enough for the grand opening, where they probably handed out swag, but I went there in the afternoon hoping maybe I'd see Major Nelson, since he sometimes appears at new MS Stores. No dice there; however, I saw the Xbox One, 500 GB, being sold for $300. I couldn't resist. It was mine. See picture below:

A good year for games for me, not so much in other areas, but there's a few worth mentioning. 

Another day, another set of games played. But first a pic I took during the week that made me giggle. 

Lots of games smashed through this week. I imagine when I finish these under 10 hour games on my list, the amount of games I play each week will reduce to just a few. I kind of can't wait, because it'll make writing these blogs easier. Anyhow, here goes another blast of video games. 

What's ya gonna do in 2007? Hear some music? Read a book? Watch a tv show? Naw, it's all about the gaming. Some really big series, still very relevant today, got their start in '07. But I got some things to say about the rest of the media. Here's it all. 

I got Halo 2, 3, and 4 on day-one, but not this time. Halo 4, the first post Bungie, kind of annoyed me, so I'm not doing it this time. Oh well, end of an era for me. I got my old school gaming on instead.

I played a lot of different games today. Most of them annoyed me in different ways, but I was happy to get a bunch of them done and put aside as trade bait. My mission is to pair down my collection as far as possible. I guess my onlly problem is that I sometimes still add games to it like this week when I bought Ys I & II Chronicles for PSP.  Forgot to post this on Monday. I got this poster, actually two of them, from some Gamestopers. It's kinda neat. It shows the history of Mario games over their 30 year history. Pretty cool, I say.
