On Thursday I got the new Mii Plaza games, Ultimate Angler and Battleground Z. The new update that also arrived lets you put games you're finished with in a vault so they don't trigger a reminder to play them every time you bring new Miis to the Plaza. I put away Find Mii and Mii Force. I did about as much as I could with those games and playing through seven games every night would be a bit much. It takes me almost an hour to get through five. It'd keep me up too late to deal with seven.

When all through the house. Not an avatar was stiring, not even a Mii. My 3DS was closed by my laptop with care, with no hope that Reggie would soon be there. . . Then I started this blog.

I replaced my original Xbox with my PS3 today at my friend's place. Between my 360 and PS3, there are a lot of games I can play. Just having access to both online stores lends itself to even more games through download. I think this is the best arrangement of consoles for me at my friend's place. I'd add my Wii as well if there was room, but there isn't. It's ok though. I got a TV at home now and I'm going to try and find some after-work time to play those.

I did a game hunt today. I went to a mall outside my neighborhood to access the other Jay Street Video Games store in my area. This retro store has really grown over the last few years and now it's stocked to the gills with retro goodness. I have a short list of stuff I want to add to the permanent collection.; some I've played, others I haven't but want to. The results are pictured below.

This week I'm focusing on progressive, avant-garde, and jazz-fusion albums released in 1970. I first looked at what I had on my hard drive and then what I had but were vinyl album rips needing to be broken into tracks. Then I took the remaining list and did a library search, and today, I went to pick them all up. See the results below.

I caught the sickness that happens whenever I'm exposed to elements of the Etrian Odyssey games. I played one dungeon of Etrian Mystery Dungeon, noticed the dramatic similarity to the Etrian Odyssey Untold remake, and had to run out the next day and track down the other Etrian Odyssey influenced game, Persona Q.

This weekend was full of distractions from gaming: Easter Sunday with family, my friend Mark needed to be taken for new glasses (he's in a wheelchair), and I getting over a cold that I got from my first day in the gym last Thursday. But I managed to sneak in some short burst of gaming and then a longer session Monday evening. Oh, and I even picked up a few games. I juggled a lot of stuff this week, here's the breakdown.

I took a short trip to another mall where there was another Jay Street Video Games store. I didn't find what I was looking for there, so I went to the Gamestop there and they had a buy 2 get 1 free sale on last gen games. It's my favorite GS sale, so I got what's shown below.
