Look at that title. I know what you're thinking. What a vague title. Switch to what? Why it's simple. Switching to the Nintendo Switch of Course! I did my best to remain purely impartial.  So I gathered a list of pros and cons or as my pun filled title suggests joy cons (rimshot*) Anyways, bad jokes aside I figure it would be best for me to offer my opinion. Because even though I am a fan. I am privy to Nintendo's manipulative ways. So without further ado...here's the list!

Twas the week or so before Christmas and all through my house. Not a creature was stirring, accept for my mouse. I clicked on checkout to buy it now.  I decided to buy the equivalent of crap from a cow. There came the package with three bad Wii Christmas Games. Oh how I knew they would be surprisingly lame. But I have decided only for you. Here comes a hoilday Christmas themed Wii Review!

The Sakura Wars franchise is a series that I had no knowledge of, but long story short, the entire series was exclusive to Japan. It’s a strange predicament because the franchise is developed and published by Sega & Red Entertainment, but it’s Nippon Ichi Software who brought the game to the English market for the Nintendo Wii & PS2. It took over 13 years and five main games in the series for a chance to be able to play a Sakura Wars game in English. Another amusing fact is that Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love was actually out in Japan since 2005… To put that into perspective, the game was localized for us western audiences in 2010. That’s a hell of a difference, but in the end was it worth it? Well I'll discuss that today in this weeks rendition of Bargain Bin Buys. This week I present Sakura War: So Long, My Love. When Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny was announced I was ecstatic at the prospect of another  Rune Factory console game on the Wii. I had a blast playing Rune Factory: Frontier when it came out for the Nintendo Wii and I figured that Tides of Destiny would be just as enjoyable. So after another 100 hours or so invested, getting every in game achievement, and marrying anime waifus what is the verdict? Well let's find out in this weeks edition of bargain bin buys. Let me get this out of the way. When Rayman Raving Rabbids was announced for the Nintendo Wii I was excited. In it's initial development Rayman was set for a 3D romp against a crazy mutant Rabbid invasion. What was originally set as a new 3D Rayman platformer became of all things a minigame compilation. This wouldn't be the first teaser for Rayman that Ubisoft failed to deliver on. Remember the initial teaser for Rayman Legends featuring  Rabbid esque amiibo? And that moment when the kid grabbed the Ezio figure to scan it? Nowhere to be found in the final product! But I'm getting off track here. You see the main problem that I have with the Rabbids is that they became popular. And when you get popular you get sequels. And boy there are a ton of Rabbid sequels. There are 4 Rabbid mini game compilations for the Wii, far more than I have time to get into and review, but what happens when one such Rabbid game deviates from the formula? The answer is Rabbids Go Home. A game I bought for $5!

You know every once and a while the Nintendo Wii would see the re-release or remake of some unexpected PS2 title. I could never explain it it myself. These quickly turned into pun filled purchases. With many critics and gamers alike dubbing them "Wii"makes or "Wii"releases. Today's game is one such oddity and a strategy RPG to boot. Today on Bargain Bin Buys- Phantom Brave: We Meet Again (At least it avoided the dreaded Wii pun) A game I bought for $10.

You know what is interesting about the wii? What's interesting is that it got so many restaurant style cooking simulators. I'm not just talking the Cooking Mama series... of which 2 such titles and a babysitting simulator came for the Nintendo's motion control monster. I'm talking titles like Dinner Dash! or Fast Food Panic. Today we have a cooking simulator mixed with a restaurant manager. Today we have Order Up! A game a bought for just $3. It also came with a cheap chef's hat. So, let's put on our hats everyone and let's get cooking!

Octomania is odd. That's all I can say. The characters, the control scheme, etc. are all weird. Octomania is a puzzle game that definitely will kick you straight in your stomach and make you wish you got something along the lines of Geometry Wars Galaxies. But it's not a terrible game...just odd.
