[Here's one of my old 1UP blogs presented for your emjoyment. I originally posted it on August 6, 2011, for the 25th anniversary of Metroid (hence the title). My wife was the only one that commented on it back then so I don't think too many people actually saw it and since no new Metroid games have come out since then, well, I guess it's still current. January was a crazy month for me on the games front with a bunch of games beat or bought. February was much simpler.
