Hey folks, sorry that it’s been around two and a half weeks since I posted a blog, but I’m even more sorry that I’ve done two game review list blogs right in a row.  I know that these kinds of blogs can be seen as shameless plugs and that might annoy some of you.  But I really only do these kinds of blogs to share with you what games I’ve been reviewing lately, and post thoughts and background that you might not find in the actual review.  But I also kind of like to alternate so I don’t have too many of these blogs right in a row.  I do have a few blogs like this planned, like a review of the Famicom Classic Edition, characters in Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite (just got that game today), and more.  But the past two weeks I was just too busy to work on them.  I wasn’t really OVERWHELMINGLY busy or anything, but just busy enough that working on those blogs would’ve been more stressful than fun.  And since I don’t get paid to do these blogs, I only do them if they’re fun.  So hopefully I’ll have some more different stuff up soon.  Anyway, here’s another list of games I’ve been reviewing lately at GamerDad.com.  Please click on the links and read as many as you can, and maybe even post a like or comment or two.  I’d appreciate it!  Thanks!

Recently I reviewed Namco Museum on Nintendo Switch.  So now I thought I’d go over each of the games in this arcade classics collection in more detail.  So welcome to the Namco Museum!  My name is Cary and I’ll be your tour guide today on this virtual tour!  There is no smoking and please stay with the group!

ARMS is Nintendo’s newest fighting game on Switch.  Originally I wasn’t going to get this game for a while, but I found a sale where it was ten dollars off.  Doesn’t sound like much, but considering Nintendo’s first party games hardly ever go on sale, I decided to take the plunge.  ARMS has a lot of interesting fighters, so I’ll do what I usually like to do with these kinds of games.  Here’s a blog about each of the ARMS fighters!  Nintendo has said that more will show up as DLC, so I also posted my own ideas for original fighters and existing characters, too!

Actually half of these reviews are of toys, not video games.  But this is the slow time for game releases, so that’s why.  Anyway, here is a recent batch of reviews I’ve written over at GamerDad.com.  Please click on the links and read as many as you can, and maybe even post a comment or like or two.  I’d really appreciate it.

It’s that time of year again.  All the summer movies are out, and there are usually a few that interest me.  So here’s a list of the movies I’ve seen this summer, as well as the ones I wanted to see, but didn’t for whatever reason.  Oh and there might be some slight spoilers here and there, so you’ve been warned.

Nintendo may be one of my favorite video game companies, but they’ve certainly had their share of big mistakes.  Most notable ones are things like the Virtual Boy, or refusing to use CDs instead of cartridges in the N64 days.  I feel they’ve even made a big mistake pretty recently, and while it’s not as grand of scope as the goof-ups mentioned before, I still think it’s a big mistake.  And that’s the way they handled the release of the NES Classic Edition last year.  I mean, what a mess!  Nobody has been able to get one of those things!  It frustrated me to no end!  And they’re poised to do it again with the SNES Classic Edition (I really hope I can get that one, though).  I was so mad about the whole situation, though, that I went out and bought a competing multi-game console called Retro-Bit Generations.

Can you believe this year is already half over?  What I like to do this time of year is write about the best games of the year so far.  Everyone is all excited over recent E3 announcements, and most of the really good titles come out during the Christmas season at the tail end of the year, and the games that come out earlier tend to be forgotten.  So this is where those games get their due.  Keep in mind that no outside opinions went into the making of this list.  It’s just my own picks.  And if a game is missing from my list, it either didn’t appeal to me as much, or I just simply haven’t played it yet.  Can’t play all the games out there, you know!  Luckily I have to say that this year we’ve already gotten way better games than we did at this point last year, so that’s a good thing.  Anyway, without further ado, welcome to Cary’s Best Games of 2017 SO FAR Awards Show!
