Recently I reviewed The Disney Afternoon Collection.  It’s a compilation of Capcom’s NES titles that were based on shows on The Disney Afternoon, a block of Disney cartoons that aired back in the late 80’s and early 90’s.  I really loved watching The Disney Afternoon as a kid, and I also enjoyed the NES games a lot, too.  In fact, many of the games on this collection are more memorable to me than titles like Mario!  They could’ve called this the Cary’s Childhood Collection!  So I thought I’d go into more detail and share my memories of each of the NES games on this collection, and the cartoons they’re based on.

Recently Nintendo released a 3DS game featuring a collection of Mario themed sporting events.  The sports you can play in these games are Baseball, Horse Racing, Golf, Tennis, and Soccer.  But there are a couple of surprises tucked away in this game as well so I thought I’d go over them here in this blog.

Happy Easter everybody!  Easter is one of my favorite holidays.  As a Christian, I appreciate the religious aspects, but I also think the secular stuff is a lot of fun, too.  I enjoy decorating Easter eggs and all the bright pastel colors and Easter has some of the best candy out of any holiday (and this is coming from someone who usually doesn’t like candy).  So I’ve got some Easter treats for all of you!  New game reviews I’ve written recently over at GamerDad!  Yay!  Please click on as many links as you can and maybe even post a comment or two.  I’d appreciate it!  OK let’s begin!

One of the launch titles for the Nintendo Switch was 1-2-Switch.  It’s a party mini-game collection showing off the capabilities of the new console.  At first I wasn’t sure if I would get it, but after playing it at PAX South, I decided I would get it after all.  And since I like to write about mini-game collections, here is a blog about all the ones found in 1-2-Switch.

When a brand-new game console comes out, I like to write a blog about the console that came before it, and talk about my favorite games on it.  So now that the Nintendo Switch has been released, I’d like to honor the Wii U and go over my favorite games for that system (not in any particular order).

Back in the late Summer/early Fall, Nintendo released a new batch of 3DS StreetPass mini-games.  I didn’t get them right when they came out because I didn’t have an opportunity to get out with a bunch of 3DS users to really take advantage of the StreetPass capabilities.  But a couple of weeks ago I went to PAX South, so I finally had a reason to download these games and try them out.  You can download the games separately, or in a bundle for less than ten bucks, so it wasn’t that bad.  The games are pretty small, so I thought it would be fun to do mini-reviews of these titles over at GamerDad.com.  I posted the links here along with overviews of each game if you’d like to read about them.
