Same here with Okamiden. I just remember it was shortly after some play and I remember a village and an older woman.
I like the SNES Mini pick.

I prefer X to GX because of the soundtrack, but the original is surprisingly fun too. I remember when you could rent a SNES at hotels and F-zero and Star Fox were advertised for those due to Mode 7.
Still weird to have a racing title with single player only though.
I wonder what other news programs from yesteryear might upload a podcast version.
Yeah, I think I waited about 10-15 at most, which is just a usual bad day at any fast food joint.
Also enjoyed mine in an area where stabbings are pretty rare. lol
Have you played any of the original LiS games?
I've had the Popeye's chicken sandwich twice now and you're right it's overhyped, but I still think it's a great fast food chicken sandwich.
Dammit, now I want one.
I definitely prefer the Life is Strange series because there's a lot more exploration and easter eggs and you feel more in control imo.
TellTale games have less of that from the ones I've played, and frankly I also enjoy the LiS art style more.
Also find them more relatable than, say, Batman ...
7 is its own thing, so no you don't really.
Let me also say, if you feel the need to play the entire series so you can understand the story, the games do a pretty good job of recapping things in subsequent entries and the themes and characters are consistent enough I doubt you'd be "lost" entirely.
Having said that, I'm playing through 4 now, 5 when it releases in the remastered collection and plan to go back through all of them to pick up any substories or minigame achievements I actually want to do and missed (Including that %$#@!^&*(ing Mahjong substory in Judgement I hope I can just find a damn item for cause I do not understand that game).
But yeah, to my knowledge 7 is a new thing. I don't think 1-6 are required for it.
You're gonna love the way you look playing Yakuza 0. I guarantee it.
I definitely cut down on the negative news and social media myself, and it sure does help. I'd get off Twitter entirely, except I have to use it for work. As a result, I probably end up being part of the negativity just cause of how much I hate having to log in there. Sorry about that. lol
I think I probably set a reading goal, but I definitely didn't reach it. In my defense, I do read a lot for work (journalism professor). I need to rediscover my local library as you have. Houston's library apparently has some amazing audiobook resources even if you're not in the area.
I've done really well exercising, but my diet and my wallet have taken lots of hits from eating out.
I like your gaming goals. I think my gaming goal this year is just to go back to doing what I did when I was younger: mostly rentals and only the ocassional bought game when I REALLY want something. I need to start my GameFly subscription again. Since I'm not paying for streaming services, that'll be my equivalent of a Netflix or Amazon Prime Video ...or HBO NOw, all of which I have through friends and family for free. Who knows what I'll do when these services start figuring out how to cut back on that practice!
In any case, Happy New Year's Eve and a Happy New Year if I don't type at you until then! Here's to a roaring 2020!
