Its great when you can make them last. I still have my one and only PS1 I got back in 97 right after I graduated, and it still works. Sadly my Gamecube petered out after just six years. Which is rediculous cause my SNES is probably twenty and still rockin.
This looks like it could be the Ico of this generation. Very cool mechanics with the use of the rain. The atmospere and vibe are intense. And the music is incredable. I will be be keeping an eye out for this.
I ended up letting my brother have my old fat PS2, got the new slim. Honestly I never liked the retractable disc tray, those thing alway end up screwing up. My only issue with the slims is that they will not work with the old multitap. But I'm a bit picky about cases and munuals. It has to have the original case or no deal. I can deal without a manual, but I prefer it to have the manual. Trivial as they may seem as time passes those two items can drasticaly effect a games value. Example, I was trying to get a copy of TMNT Turtles in Time for SNES. For just the cart in good shape ran 12 to 15 bucks. Want it in good shape with the box and Manual, 35 to 50 bucks. I had a copy of Ninja Gaiden 2 I found at walmart in a bargin bin for $10. I sold it ten years later on ebay for $50, it was complete. Cartridge, black sleeve, box, manual, and a Tecmo mini poster.
This realy is a great series. My first Shin Megumi game was Persona 2, found it dirt cheap at KB on my lunch break years ago. It is crazy ass hard and have only got to the second dungeon. Beat Persona 3 FES, but I have not gotten through the prologue add on. Love that game. Have got a good way into Persona 4 need to just finish it. Got the first Devil Summoner, it is pretty unusual but very good. Just manged to get a copy of Digital Devil Saga, now just need to track down part 2 and Nocturne. Strange Journey looked pretty neat I just don't play my DS that much anymore though. Now if Atlus would just stop stalling and give us Persona 5 already.
I remember the squad AI being the real issue with the 1up review. That and repetative waves of the grunt enemies. But the boss fights made up the difference. May have to check it out, I liked Vanquish so if this is similar I'll probably like it too.
Thanks. With the current generation of games being oversaturated with fps, sandbox, and fps sandbox games, it would be nice to see a play mechanic that was under used in the first place be given another chance. And yeah it could probably be used in a fps if someone wanted to do that, but it could work in a lot of different genres.
They really are quite unique and a lot of fun. Its not too difficult to find them on ebay or amazon either although even a used copy will still set you back about $30.
I know a lot of people have held off on playing through the dlc until the Lv cap was raised. But they should gave bumped it up to 75. We are going to get 11 more skill points ,thats enough to max out two more 5 point skills and a 1 pointer. They should give us enough to at least max out two skill trees just to keep things interesting.
