I'm reminded of how hard The Noid! (Domino's mascot, I think) on NES is for me.
Any inspiration (even though that's a platformer that looks nothing like this) on the developers part that you know of?

I gotcha. And I never played it, so I can't say for sure, I'm just ever skeptical of the argument that any fighter is so balanced a good mashing can't take care of someone eventually, based on my experience (which is obviously not a scientific method by which to judge something, I realize).
I dunno about the "gamble" aspect for me. If it has a lot of good games, as I've heard it does, it doesn't matter how long it's supported, cause I tend to only play a few games every system/handheld cycle anyway, though I do rent more often than buy.
It's more that I've always bought Big N handhelds and their exclusives appeal to me more than the Vita's ... but then that's just reasons on top of the "gamble" thing for consumers like me, so it doesn't help their case.
Ok, so sort of like a single player Dungeons & Dragons?
Gotcha. There is of course, always the option to watch Let's Plays, but I've recently thought about revisiting JRPGs to see if my tastes have changed as I get older, but with Masters courses, I just don't have time right now. I'll keep FFVI in mind when I have more time.
I guess I'll see about GTAIV once I play it.
I'm always skeptical of the claim that a fighter can't be won with button mashing, cause I've heard that about games like Tekken, Soul Calibur, etc. as well, but too often seen a "master," who's been king of the cabinet with his "skillz," finally get his ass whipped by a little girl pushing buttons rapidly, as his former challengers look on.
This sounds like a good time, though, and I suppose I haven't seen that phenomenon in as many 2D fighters. Good review.
It was fun when I played Teraway at Gamestop, but not enough for me to buy one.
It might make sense to make a Saint Valentine's chocolate thing like they have for Easter bunnies, and encourage everyone to eat the head first.
