That's good, because I like Luigi, and 2013 wasn't my greatest year. Here's to a new start in 2014 for us all!

First game I remember playing was Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt. Track & Field I think my brother and I played at a friend of family's house.
I didn't have that big a backlog or game spending problem until five days ago, but thanks to Steam, I'll have to slow my roll as well. lol
I once listened to all 500 songs on Rolling Stone's Top 500 list, except ones not available on Youtube. That was a project. Speaking of iTunes, just downloaded the store to my new laptop, and I'm seriously wondering if one of the hundreds of legal thingies I clicked wasn't a CentiPad clause. I have to jump through hoops just to listen to a song I already own?! Gah!
I need to read more books as well. Mockingjay was the only thing I said I'd read by 2013's end, and since I just heard of a party tonight, I don't think it'll happen.
Have fun with the 3DS, but since you went to Target, I'd check the ol' bank account, given the trouble they had. I check mine every day regardless, but y'know.
Happy New Year, Chris!
All seemingly good choices I haven't touched. Wish me luck that Tomb Raider works on my laptop.
Well, ok, I'm actually not that surprised with your #1 pick. Seems to be pretty much everyone's game of the year.
I do like what you said about the stealth game play, since I do get frustrated by the fact a lot of games will simply transport you to a checkpoint when you get caught, where I'd much rather they just let the situation play out.
Sadly, I had the ending ruined for me by scanning my Facebook feed, but I still skipped over our italics because there may have been something I missed, considering how much text seemed to be in this blog about it.
As far as I know, good choice; yet another reason I wish I had a PS3 or 360, but hey, Steam is awesomely cheap, so there's that.
I love your stats for yourself, they mirror my own when starting a project at night. lol
Was that their mom walking in around :40? lol I get a kick out of little things like that. Nice sound, I should re-learn that song on my guitar some time, I haven't picked it up in ages.
Honestly, I've never really experienced any of the games I mentioned beyond renting the original Animal Crossing from Blockbuster, but not having enough space on my memory card for it and finding the voices irritating, and watching female co-workers obsess over their Sims games at the front desks of college dorms I worked at. I just think they all seem to share a similar core premise in that they are meant to be virtual life simulators of some variety. Like I said, they do have their differences, and I can agree about Nintendo's charm being a huge factor. I think Animal Crossing on a handheld would be my top choice in this genre for the same reason.
Third that surprise, now I'm curious what number one was. lol
I wish Steam had Sly Cooper, I'd definitely jump on any of those games. They do have Rayman Legends, but I'm not really looking at anything too far above $10 right now. Which sucks, because I didn't even think about missing out on the SRIV sale yesterday. Oh well. Might buy the GTA bundle still.
I really wish I could play Infinite, GTAV, Revengeance, and a Link Between Worlds as well. Those are games that really made me wish I had a new console/handheld or higher-end gaming PC this year, and of course I still need to play a Phoenix Wright game. SMW 3D and X&Y look good as well, though I'm not sure what Tearaway is about exactly. I know Chris just got it and mentioned its awesomeness on his blog.
Urizen sounds like a great live experience. I don't know if I'd listen to them regularly, but I appreciate humor and theatricality in live music as well. What was going on with the box men and the eye monster, I wonder?
I liked the classical guitar guys as well. Classical guitar is one of the main reasons "Gerudo Valley" is one of my favorite songs from a video game. Sounds like it suits that Chrono Trigger song they were doing as well.
I couldn't get the first video to work, and when I tried watching on Youtube, it took me to youtube.com/?, so I couldn't see that one, but I bet MAGFest looks awesome. I'd love to run into Todd in the Shadows there.
