no problem, man!
hey BRoken, I clicked on this on Twitter, but I'm not seeing it in the main blog feed on Pixlbit. IS this a draft?
Yeah a lot of people love it, so it can't be all bad. I'm curious to check it out. Most of these PSONE classics are better than most modern JRPG's, even if they're a bit dated.
Breath of Fire IV... I don't think they have 3 on there. It's just a really neat fantasy world with interesting characters and great handdrawn sprites. I haven't finished it, but I'm going to go back to it soon. It really impressed me when I played it.
thanks for reposting. Now I have more of an idea of what I can expect.
it's funny, those long animations in old PSONE games. Nothing was worse than FFVIII though, using your GF's. And you had to use those things over and over! My god, I could recreate the Shiva animation from memory.
I think the most surprising PSONE JRPG's I've played lately are Breath of Fire and Grandia. I had no idea these existed at the time, and I'm just so impressed with them.
sometime I'll post them. I'm in the process of cleaning it up right now.
oh crap I need to pick up El Shaddai. I always wanted to play that game. hope it's not too late.
my starwars fanfiction takes place thousands of years in the future, after the battle of Yavin, so I've got a lot of freedom to change things around. For instance, there are no more "Jedi" or "Sith", but the Republic is guarded by Five Houses or Clans of neutral force users.
I like the story, and I wish I could focus to write some more of it. It's fun.
cool, man. It's interesting to me what time periods people pick to write their starwars fanfiction. My brother writes stuff during the Clone Wars and puts it up on Fanfiction.com and gets hundreds and hundreds of views. He's a bit of a workaholic when it comes to writing fanfiction.
Keep writing! This might help though:
it's a classic book on writing style, and it explains a lot of rules and nuances. It's very helpful.
