Hey Kay,
glad you could make it. I'm a bit of a recluse who finds solace in this blogging community myself. Pixlbit has really rolled out the red carpet for us, and it's going to show you can't keep a good community down.
I think it's because of that last image, it's bigger than all the rest, and as you can see the text fits itself to the same width. try resizing that one.
I think it's because your images are too big. I had the same problem with one of my blogs, and it was because an image I was using was too big and stretching the rest of the blog out. Try resizing your images and I think that will fix it.
being a part of this community and contributing is the best part, as far as I am concerned. When 1up fell apart, I wasn't lamenting the lack of the content created by Jeremy and stuff, but the content created by my friends. This site seems to really appreciate that we like to contribute and create our own content.
I hope you start blogging. It's really fun, and you'll meet some great friends.
I liked the character creation system in Saint's Row 2 (or was it 1). Unlike GTA, you could create your own character, male or female, and adjust their face, clothing, and even their weight. I created a three hundred pound woman with a lazy eye. You can even choose your voice from one of the stock choices ("zombie" is one of them -- your character just grunts when he or she talks....)
I was so impressed with this system when it came out, especially the weight bit. A lot of games let you customize, but not usually the weight or size of your character, and that's a something that varies a lot in people.
I also enjoyed creating my own character's face (a female) in Mass Effect. She had a crew-cut and had a harsh, take no prisoners demeanor, always doing the right thing, but sometimes in the wrong way. I liked that.
ha ha, that picture is hilarious. I set up an account on Giant Bomb but there were walkers everywhere. Happy to have found Pixlbit.
I usually keep one medic in games like this... you always have to have a healer. You do less damage, but your party will survive more often. Sure, it feels like a waste cause they're so boring, but it's really a necessity.
Your article really made me want to play, but I'm forsaking the demo to go straight to the game, which I ordered last night. This is one of my favorite niche genres, and I've played Etrian Odyssey 2, so I kind of know what I'm getting into.
Great article!
yup it's a new day. pretty crazy turn of events, if you ask me. Which you didn't.
But you will! ;)
I just want to take a moment to reflect on the fact that my comments don't need titles. :)
Anyway, I played the first Uncharted but I haven't gotten to the others. I was kind of shocked by the sheer number of people you kill in that game. That guy is like Rambo.
I don't have the spirit to backup my 1up blogs. It's just too daunting a task. I'm just content to let them float away.....
