So I was told. Actually, I want to ask you, you downloaded some software to make your OS more like 7/XP right? Where do I find that and how much would it cost? For now, I think I'll get used to using 8 on a non-touch-screen, but for further on down the line, I may want to know how to get this classic view, or is it just an option on the newer ones?

The most flamboyantly British-sounding one I could find. Couldn't afford his sassy, binary-speaking companion, though.

The Last Door - Chapter 1: The Letter Review

This is interesting, and something I might check out once my new laptop arrives. Does it come in flat out Spanish? I figure that might be a good way to relearn me some language. My rustiness cost me a job about a year ago. Granted, that job was at a very stressful looking Wells Fargo, but nonetheless, I'll take all the "edutaining" routes I can get, if available. Every time Alex writes a blog, I kind of feel ashamed my Spanish is nowhere near as good as his English.

We shall see. At very least, I think the free stuff will run smoothly. So I'm happy about that. Smile

Buyer's Regret

I actually would like inFamous and Killzone out of the gate. What I wouldn't like is being a guinea pig for potential hardware issues and spending $400 on something I don't necessarily need ... especially since, as I understand, my new laptop can handle a decent level of games if I were to use it that way.

Roll Call!! Calling all backloggers report in!!

I can't remember what my backlog looks like, but I wonder if I even want to beat Spirit Tracks now.

Yup. Amazon had the same base price as NewEgg, but it was also charging tax and what I thought were too-high shipping costs. I think that version had a Blu-Ray player and was black, so looked sleaker, but for more than $30 less and I can have it in just a few days, I'll take the NewEgg deal. I need a DVD writer more than a Blu Ray player anyway.

Do not feel too bad, I might still be using my Dell D620 for Office should I not feel like spending $80 for University Office right away or Open Office doesn't have all my needed features. It's all I had through undergraduate. That and a different Dell that was also a slow, free, hand-me-down from my computer teacher mom, that had to be reformatted (which is how I learned of Open Office) and that's when I was sent the shiny, new D620 in the mail. And you better believe it was damn shiny by comparison! lol

Also, at work, there is a D630 that runs teleprompter. What the hell is it with the D6 series of Dells? lol Anyway, I can definitely understand where you are coming from. Hang in there, mine at least does everything I need before it blue screens. My mom said they cleaned the dust out of some at work, and that got another year out of them. I think I might do something stupid with our vacuum here soon.

METAL MONDAY! NEWSTED- Heavy Metal Music Album Review!

Didn't like the first couple songs, but the ones a bit further in remind me of a slightly heavier Corrosion of Conformity, and I like those.

For some reason, I always assocaiated Newsted with a more ambient style when he was left to his own devices. The solos here are more like what I expected, and I definitely like them. That little bass solo he had on "My Friend of Misery" was one of the better things on that album in my opinion.

My lecturer is retarded

Any kind of work, but I have a Graduate Assistantship lined up once I go back after this week, so not a problem at this point really. But I was looking both in my field of visual media and everywhere else pretty much.
