As you know by now, I love the Galaxy games and they're not only my favorite Mario games but my favorites of all time (and I worship Rosalina).

For Mario 64, guess we'll have to agree to disagree since the controls didn't age imo. I can see your reasoning though.

My other favorites would be 3 and the original odly enough. I would include World, but I need to restart it one of these days since I don't have a definitive opinion on it. I agree with you on 3D Land, good but not Galaxy or 64 awesome.

Though the concept it's similar to some (like what i've seen on Dwarf Fortress), I just want to say that not all the Rogue-likes are like, well, Rogue. Do you know Risk of Rain?

Oh god, that comparasion image. I found it on Tumblr and I could only "what the fuck" and "bullshit" when I saw it. The good thing is that it was then followed by users also calling the bullshit on it.

I'm actually new to Darkstalkers, so it'll be my intro to the series.

I've bought that Darkstalkers game, but I haven't had the energy to start it yet.

Now you know why games of this kind are called Rogue-Like. I definitly want to try it one of this days.

The only game I have of this year is Valdis Story: Abyssal City, and I haven't even started it.

While I do think Rayman and Meat Boy are better than New Super Mario Bros (which I still very much like), you can't simply get any better than Super Mario 64, 3 and Galaxy. I think those ones are masterpieces of plataforming IMO, and indeed, you will understand why Super Mario Galaxy (both games), got tens across the boards once you play it (they are my favorite games after all).

I do agree that 3D Land, while good, isn't as great as the past 3D Mario games though.
