Next Time, on Nerds Without Pants: You?

Posted on 03/12/2013 at 12:48 PM | Filed Under Blogs

I'm a total podcast addict. I really enjoy the ones about gaming. I listen to them throughout my day. Makes the day go by so much quicker being informed and entertained as I go. So I will have to look into that.

No,I'd not heard of that one. I knew she had quite a bit of solo material. But I will have to find that one. She is so amazing! By the way,the poem and image are really great. They go together perfectly.

I know what you mean,Tami. I get a bit edgy in really tight crowds. I cannnot deal with that at concerts where it's general admission. I'm a big guy,but sometimes there are even bigger dudes there! They always seem to end up shoving their way through the crowd like a bulldozer. Until they run right into me!

I kinda figured you'd be the guy attending this year. Now I'm really jealous! I only realized today how much gaming is a part of it now. It's a really big deal for tech companies and game developers, too.

Why do video games have to be relevant to real life? A rebuttal

Posted on 03/12/2013 at 08:28 AM | Filed Under Blogs

"You silly, boorish people and your video games! With your Traystations, and your XBOX 120's and such. Living out your fantasy lives through the exploits of groups of pixels." Oh yes,I can almost hear it now. The idea that all gamers are brain dead morons offends me to the core. My primary reason is this...gaming is entertainment at it's purest form. It sparks creativity and deep thought processes at times. People like that guy do not get it. And they don't want to! Because to do so brings them down to our lowly level. We are a bunch of idiots to them.

This game sounds very interesting. I enjoy the Persona games a lot. They would fall into the JRPG description I believe. And I do enjoy it when characters say off the wall things. Like the stuff characters in the Soul Calibur games say when they win....hysterical!

Can Hatsune Miku Sing Her Way into Your Heart?

I'll have to check out the vocaloid videos on You Tube. They sound very interesting to me. And I do like cute anime girls. Well, within reason. You are right about that. Nothing wrong with men liking them.  Just that some men can get obsessive about such things. Like bronies! I don't get that sort of fandom, probably never will. As for Japenese import games? People should really give them a chance. Very fun and innovative gameplay and great music.

I might have to give it a try. Sometimes I like games that are poorly reviewed. Kind of the same goes for movies. You have so trust the reviewer. Only a handful I actually think know their stuff.

Broken's retro theatre: Onimusha Dawn Of Dreams and other topics!

Outstanding blog you did here. I learned so much about Onimusha. I have the first two but I've never tried Dawn Of Dreams. After what you said about it,I think I should get it. Adam Sessler is the man. I have been a fan of his for a long time. Now that he's at Rev 3 he's done some great work. Reviews and Sessler's Something especially. What's brilliant is how he never softballs his topic. Never afraid of controversy and trolls.
