Useless Crap I've Been Doing

Only Marvel film I  just really didn't like that much at all was Thor; my personal favorite was probably Captain America (outside of Avengers, of course), but Iron Man 2 I enjoyed, but had kind of a meh feeling about when leaving the theater, so I definitely see where you're coming from. 3 looks really good, though.

And I'm excited for Avengers 2, but that's not for two years. I refuse to get hyped for something I must wait that long for. lol

I'm staying positive now, was frustrated this morning for a wasted trip, but slept it off, and hey, a workout I did before that extended nap is making my abs sore, so some good has come today. Cool

I liked The Hoibbit, I think in part cause I read the book and had my expectations lowered so much by reviews, but whatever I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Those two are high on my radar as well. Now that summer has rolled around, I'll be seeing a lot more movies. Thank God for two dollar ticket theaters I can walk to if I so feel. Smile

I loved the first Hunger Games, it was a real page turner for me, started reading it the Sunday before the movie came out, simply cause that date was my birthday. Catching Fire was a bit more of a slow burn, and kind of turned me into one of those people yelling at the main character for being an idiot, although of course I had the advantage of dramatic irony.

I heard that Evil Dead remake was pretty good. Shamefully, I did not like the first one when I had it on Netflix, and only just a couple weeks ago got halfway through Evil Dead II at my friend Austin's place. That one I thought was awesome, since it's when they started playing it up for laughs. Didn't find the first one scary, but found what I saw of the second hilarious.

I'm stoked for Iron Man 3 as well.

Socks the Cat is cute. Looks nothing like the one on that book, though. lol

As for National Parks, that's what Google (and I presume whatever made me Google this, maybe it was on Craigslist somehow?) tells me: http://www.nps.gov/findapark/feefreeparks.htm

Sounds like a very busy, but very fun time. I wonder how many parts of Oh Myyy!! are about Shatner.

Both songs were nice and pleasant, and you guys do sound very good for no rehearsal. Sorry to hear about the daughter, though. Frown

Owls are awesome, and glad you have a fun job. I myself learned the other day that National Park Week was from the 20th to the 28th. I of course learned that on the 29th (d'oh!), so it still stands that the "park" I've been to most recently was Bill Clinton's house. I still find it just too fitting that the only non-replica thing in there is a book about a ...  cat ... ahem.

No rum, but I did have fun the night (and morning) before I wrote this, I'll say that.

I would hope you're waiting to get off work to drink your rum, you've got an important job!

Once you get off work remember to treat yourself with some rum, you've got an important job! Smile

PUNK TUESDAY!

Love those Decline of Western Civilization documentaries, and "Time Bomb" is one of my favorites. Also like the new stuff by Bad Religion, but the video ... could have been better. I've been listening to the song "Land of Competition" a lot lately. Don't know what it is, but that song is addictive.

Can't go wrong with Black Flag, and I especially like the one you posted. Couldn't escape Rollins in college, cause my friends were so into Rollins. They even named some stupid (probably dangerous) lift they were doing in the gym after "Gun in Mouth Blues" cause it came on when they did it.

Husker Du sounds like a prelude to Nirvana there. Wait, that's cause it is. Well, anyway, influence on later Nirvana songs is really obvious there.

The part where he said "we care about you, that's why we don't give a fuck what you think" in the Circle Jerks vid made me laugh, and Minor Threat was another favorite of one of my college buddies, and I enjoyed that one you posted too, even if "fucking or playing golf" is all I understood.

Well, I'm glad you posted these, makes my wasted trip to the GM Plant this morning not seem so bad. lol

Why Virtual Console Continues to Disappoint

I wonder how making Link to the Past in the vein of Four Swords would ... actually, wait, was Four Swords in the LttP world? Never actually played it for myself.

Anyway, this is a great idea. Only problem is figuring out how to create enjoyable multiplayer experiences, which, how many of those does Nintendo have now? I'm not sold on their execution. Again though, I'm not speaking from experience, having only owned a Gamecube and DS most recently, and I'm just going off hearsay ... an internet universe full of hearsay.
