I just got done watching a review of Rock of Ages by someone who didn't like it cause it butchered the Broadway musical's story, apparently, so I thought of you and how you thought it butchered the 80s songs while watching it. Good to know "Balls to the Wall" and "I Am the Law" will never get Glee covers, right?

I just love "Balls to the Wall," and I think "Metal Thrashing Mad" is my favorite Anthrax song, but "I am the Law" is such a great song, too. Speaking of which, have you seen the new Dredd movie? It's actually really good. I'm not an authority on 80s action films or the comic books of Dredd, but I've heard a lot of people cite their fondness of those as reasons they're fond of the new movie, cause it pays tribute to them so well. I just liked the vibe, action, acting, and slo-mo; also 3D, cause I saw it in theaters.

I saw the first Ghost in the Shell on Netflix when I had it, but never the other movies, or the anime series. I think I liked the look better than the story (and some of the voice acting didn't cut it for me), but it did get me curious about the anime. I still remember that cover from so many trips to Blockbuster; it would always catch my eye, cause I was in junior high, and it had big ol' bazongas as its cover art.

Can't say I know much of Doctor Who, but a cubby in the work office for my main "job" is a Tardis, and I hear it raved about on my facebook feed all the time, plus I know roughly what Daleks are, so I guess I have some perfunctory knowledge of the series. Kind of. I should probably watch it at some point. lol

That actually makes it sound like Nintendo might finally bow out of the console race. I know it's speculative, but the thought makes me sad.Maybe they don't even feel they have enough to make a big E3 splash? I'm saying that as a person who has no idea what was slated to come out for the system except the Pikmin game you mentiond, though, so I'm an ignorant party, as with most things in this new generation.

Already knew about the Steve Martin banjo thing, but when two of your biggest passions in life are music and comedy, you know these things. lol Aparently, he's into art as well, and I remember him plugging a book he had written about some of his favorite art pieces. That reminds me, we have The Jerk! at home, and I don't think I've ever watched it straight through in one sitting.Hmmm...

Really dug the Alison Brown Quartet. Also, the influences from "Going to Glasgow" on "Shipping up to Boston" are pretty apparent. I even thought I wrote a riff on guitar once, before realizing it was just the same series of notes from the chorus of "Shipping up to Boston." I had titled it some reference to A Clockwork Orange before taking it off an old Myspace music page I had. Something about that tune is so catchy.

Glad those kids aren't bothering you any more. $40 sounds like a good deal for a new game.

I wouldn't mind another relationship, just maybe this time I'll work on finding someone I connect with more easily. Maybe.

Do you work as a server? I mean, I know other jobs can "request off," but I remember using that phraseology the most when I was a server, mostly for concerts. Game releases are a nice reason too, though, and less hassle is involved on your day off that way. lol

I don't have a 3DS, but if I did I would probably pick up the new Luigi's Mansion, and probably the Star Fox and Ocarina of Time remakes, maybe that Kid Icarus game. That's me though, don't know if you have same tastes or not.

I'm having deja vu myself, but I have no idea where I'd have seen it before.
