Milky and Shoe?! Well, now I'm listening!
Great blog.I also came to 1up cause of EGM.
I've never had an account at giantbomb, but I like it here, and IGN is more like an entertainment page with facebook comments than anything resembling a community/blog site, so here I stay.

I think if I were to make my decision completely objectively, with no nostalgia goggles or fanboyism memories, the PS2 and SNES would probably tie for best console ever.
I picked my favorite game with basically the same criteria you did for R&C. I could play EBA forever. My mood would change my favorite game too, though, honestly.
I really need to play BG&E, especially if Amazong has deals. Never heard of Shadow Hearts, may need to check that out.
And armadillos are awesome, but you'd think living in central and east Texas I'd see a lot more of them! lol

Yeah, that's why I'm surprised I don't see them all the time. Maybe it's that the ones near me come out later at night than when I usually go for a walk.

A couple of my older cousins had Atari 2600s... well there was one 2600, and two cousins. I played NES and SNES around the same time frame, cause they were both in the house by the time I was able to play them, so I love the NES as well.

My soft spot is the 90s, but the 80s knew how to make neon lights look cool, and make music that really complemented them, as proven by that Power Glove tune. The Laserhawk song was awesome too!
I never really knew how much I loved 80s music until I heard the soundtrack to the Cinema Snob (Brad Jones) internet movie, Midnight Heat. I'm also a pretty huge fan of modern songs that sound 80s, like the Drive soundtrack, and this:
Anyway, sounds like an awesome, cheesy game. Long live the decade of excess!

The Volbeat made me tear up, and I haven't been to war and back, so definitely no judgment here!
Escape the Fate had kind of an A7X vibe to it that I liked; I liked their old singer too, I forget what band he moved on to, I just remember I liked whatever song of that band's it was we had in the station.
Great picks today! I'm liking the melodic choices. Like Yargz, I've been listening to rap more often lately (mostly Macklemore and Immortal Technique) but metal never dies. m/

I think Fusion is actually my favorite Metroid. I know what you mean about the SNES, I was only four to six years old when I played it, but man did it have great games.
