The only one I can think off the top of my head is Crimson Dragon. This was also a Games With Gold title that I didn't expect to like because of the bad reviews. I enjoyed it a lot though. I guess the Panzer Dragoon director didn't let me down afterall.
Not the version I got. I got the vanilla game. Wasn't even aware there was DLC.
I agree with the Dashboard being difficult to manage, compared to the easy to use XB1. The battery life on the controller is also astonshingly small. The XB1 controller lasts four times as long on rechargable battery and has a much longer cord to boot. That said, I do love that little speaker in the PS4 controller. Very satisfying when it's used.
I picked up Rise of the Tomb Raider for $25 Canadian the other week for Xbox One. Though I guess it's been out on the XB1 for much longer than the PS4 so it isn't that much of a steal.
I wish there was a 99 cent store for games. Can't beat the trill of digging through a bargain bin to find a gem.
I put too many hours into the PS2 original, so I don't think I could get back into DQVIII like I used to.
I did hear a lot about about cut story content and mainly unfinished areas of the open world that can be accessed via a glitch. I'm glad they're finishing the game, even if it is through paid DLC. I was planning on getting the season pass anyway, so hopefully all the DLC will be included with that.
It is pretty confusing to follow what they are doing with this game. They are treating it almost like an MMO with these events. That stuff doesn't interest me. The multiplayer is going to be 4-player co-op.
On second thought, this new expansion probably isn't going to be all that exciting. They are calling the other DLC expansions as well and I don't expect them to be very long or deep. I will continue to hope a sequel is greenlit.
And apparently, a new expansion is already in development. Just ran into this news story after I made my previous comment. Depending on how they handle it, that might be better news than a sequel (it won't take another 10 years to develop).
It seems we are getting the darker-branded Versus XIII of sorts with the FFVII Remake. I doubt Nomura would ever have the time to go back and do a FFXV sequel or make the true Versus XIII. With FFVII Remake and Kingdom Hearts III still years away, he'd probably want to work on something new after all that.
Anyway, the story of FFXV was kind of a mess and had plenty of boring levels, but boy, that great ending came out of left field. I loved FFXV mostly for the open-world elements. I hope they make a FFXV-2 just so they utilize the open-world they created even more (and uh, finish making it as well).
