I never played them, so will definitely give them a spin.

Yeah, the NX is Nintendo's new console that will be shown at E3. Not sure on backwards compatibility though, but would be great if it had it. Wii U is going to be really cheap on Black Friday, I think it was 250 bucks with Smash 4 and Splatoon included as digital games. Up to you though.

It has an amiibo in it so knew it would sell out immediately. It's back up again though. I can't replay any version anymore, the GCN ver. is out of the question cause the Wii, and while I can play the Wii one on Wii U, my nunchuk controller broke.

I want to try FFVll to see what all the fuss is about. I've only played the HD one on PS3. Need to get back on it.

Fast Racing Neo looks amazing. Guess that'll be everyone's F-Zero fix till Nintendo makes one. Xenoblade looks amazing, really excited for it. SF0 looks good too. Both Zelda's look good.

I want to save but I say the same thing.

Yeah, Motion Controls in TP was just waggle, but still better than Skyward Sword's controls. They should have an option on the Metroid Prime Trilogy for traditional controls, though MP3 might be hard to pull off cause it was built with motion controls in mind. Really loving those announcements too.

Got A Wii-U!

As with on twitter, congrats! Glad you're enjoying it. Splatoon is reallyfun, we can play sometime if you want. WWHD is just awesome. 3D World is awesome. If you haven't, get Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, definitely the Wii's finest and my all time favorite Nintendo games.

I have the Trilogy disc, the only thing stopping me is a broken nunchuk controller. I also recommend Captain Toad, Smash, and MK8. Oh and DK Tropical Freeze if you want a great 2D platformer.

What is Your Most Arresting Gaming Experience of the Past Five Years?

Posted on 10/31/2015 at 04:46 AM | Filed Under Blogs

There's alot of games that had wowed me these past few years. I would say SMG but that wouldn't count. To me the ones that stand out would be Batman Arkham Asylum, Uncharted 2, Pokemon Y/Omega Ruby, Xenoblade Chronicles, and Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Batman showed me that a licensed game can be great, if under the right hands. Felt like Batman TAS.

Uncharted 2 showed me a fantastic action-packed cinematic experience.

Pokemon Y/Omega Ruby showed me the evolution of the franchise afters years of it being a 2D game.

Xenoblade was just a fantastic game, fantastic cast of characters in a very interesting world and a great story.

And Super Mario Galaxy 2 showed me that more of the same isn't a bad thing, but it took everything to the next level. Fantastic level design with great music.

I've seen ads for it and seems very sci-fi themed. Seems like something I can enjoy.

Yes, I remember seeing it in theater too, not sure if it's the first movie I had ever seen, but it's one of the first I remember seeing.

Ah, makes sense now. I'm going to see if I can watch it then.

Wow haha, I bet it must of been pretty amazing watching these in theaters. I like the 3 of them equally. Yes, loved the game as well and I think I have to agree with you on that. Yes I'm aware that there's a BttF world in Lego Dimensions. I want to get it, but I'm afraid I'll get addicted to collecting the sets like I have with amiibos. I think I recall seeing the cartoon in the FoxBox, but I actually remember seeing it as a kid as well. I always found it funny that there was always a Tannen in different time periods. The Biff dinosaur was really random, but funny.

Oh yes, I remember the BttF ride at Universal! Well I remember commercials for it. And yes you're right, all the technology we have now is definitely the stuff of science-fiction. If my future self would of told my kid self about the future, I probably wouldn't believe him/myself but wouldn't rule out the possibility. Possibilities are endless.
