The gameplay in the Garden Warfare games isn't my cup of tea, so that's why it's pretty low on my priority list.  But they look so gosh darn colorful and charming.  Maybe if I get it as a present or super cheap somewhere.

We do some gardening in our backyard.  We use some old bathtubs I got from work as raised beds.  I work in the plumbing section in a major hardware chain, so yeah.  Please don't say, "Oh you're a plumber like Mario!"  I'd actually rather be compared to Luigi, thank you very much.  Ahem.  Anyway, we do really well growing cucumbers, squash, peppers, and tomatoes.  Other things are hard to grow because of the Texas heat.  When I was a kid, I tried to grow strawberries because they're one of my favorite fruits, but they didn't do very well.

It's not very high on my priority list, but I'd like to try that Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare game.  It just looks very colorful and silly.

One of my brothers reviewed the FF7 remake for me a while back.  Right now I'm working on finishing up Ys 9.  I may have it beat by next week or so.

I always felt Super Mario Land was a little off.  Not a bad game, but you could really tell it wasn't made by the original team.  However it was one of the first Mario games I actually beat.  

My favorite part of Super Mario Land is actually the music.  It was done by Hip Tanaka, and you can tell as his bouncy, peppy, stuccato style shows through.  Tanaka also did the music for games like Balloon Fight and Dr. Mario.

One other good thing about Super Mario Land is that the sequels were vastly improved upon, and eventually brought us the Wario Land games!  I think I like the Wario Land games better than most Mario ones!

That's pretty good that your library lets you borrow games.  LEGO Batman is definitely worth borrowing.

I have a lot of respect and interest in educational games and games for kids.  It's one of the reasons why I write for GamerDad.com!  It all started when the first game I ever beat as a kid was Mickey's Space Adventure for the Apple ][+ as a kid.  I've never forgotten that sense of accomplishment I had.  With that said, I never got into Math Blaster.  I know it's very popular, but I just HATE math.  It's my one weakness.  One of the reasons why I majored in Journalism in college is that I only had to take one math class, and I could take an easy one.  So yeah, never got into Math Blaster.  I think my favorite educational kids games are the ones done by Humongous Entertainment.  They did the Putt-Putt, Pajama Sam, Freddi Fish, and Spy Fox point and click adventures, as well as the Backyard Sports series.  I had so much fun meeting with them at E3 shows.

I reviewed that Max: Curse of Brotherhood game a long time ago.  It's actually a sequel to a DS game called Max and the Magic Marker.  

Maybe I'd get that Fenyx Rising game if I ever saw it for 20 bucks.

I like world maps, too.  I also liked it when games came with instruction booklets and printed paper maps.  That was really helpful.

I've watched most of the Marvel movies.  I'm not big into comic books but they are fun action movies.  I didn't watch the last Spideman movie because I didn't like the one before it and I'm not much of a Spiderman fan anyway.  I don't watch the Marvel TV shows either.  Outside of the movies, most of my Marvel knowledge comes from the LEGO games and Marvel vs. Capcom fighters.  Heck, I didn't know She-Hulk existed until I played Marvel vs. Capcom 3.  Hey I know!  They should make a Marvel vs. Capcom movie!  Yeah!

The LEGO Harry Potter games were split up into two, but then they made a collection later.  I played the first one, but not the second one.  I never got into Harry Potter much either.  I read the first four books, but got bored after that.  Same goes with the movies.  The Harry Potter section of Universal Studios is pretty amazing, though.  Even I thought it was great, and I'm not much of a Harry Potter fan.  The rest of my family sure is, though!  I drank a lot of that pumpkin juice at the Harry Potter theme park.  So good.
