I never really had much interest in DKC3. I think it's replacing Donkey and Diddy with Kiddy Kong. I'd rather that be Donkey and Dixie, it's so bizarre that only one Donkey Kong Country game on the SNES lets you play as the title character.

I didn't like the new God of War. Stopped about two thirds through because the game is way too long for me, might have liked it if I could have beat it by then. I had issues with the camera and how the enemies just didn't have fun attack patterns IMO, which didn't really start to sink in until I was halfway through. I loved everything the game did outside the combat, but it's still an action game. Fighting needs to be great for me to have fun.
I've always personally felt it was more satisfying to take out a boss over twice your size. Problem is (especially in more modern games) those tend to ironically be easier than ones as big as your character. Contra and Metal Slug did it right and it's also a big reason I prefer Mega Man X to the classic games.
Looks like the Genesis Mini is being done by AtGames. They said they're doing everything they can to right the last one's wrongs, but I'm not holding my breath. Still, Sega has been doing better, even Sonic games are good again after Mania (which is now getting a good chunk of free DLC). I really, really loved Sonic Mania
Glad you got better hours there, even if it's not what you want to do. I remember working a 3-11 swing shift and hated it, was really relieved when I got moved to the 7-3 day shift. Though now I'm at a much better job from 8-5 with much better pay and think I found something that will let me do much better.
I was hesitant on Detective Pikachu, but Pokemon and Ace Attorney are my two favorite handheld series (and probably my favorite ones from Nintendo and Capcom respectively) so I'll need to check it out.
3. Super Metroid- I didn't get a chance to play this until 2007 when it hit the Wii Virtual Console, but I felt it was overhyped. I kept hearing it was the greatest game ever made, but I was really thrown off by how much stiffer the controls were than Zero Mission's and I would have rather played that or Prime. I picked it up again in 2014 on the Wii U and enjoyed my time a lot more. I didn't enjoy it as much as Prime or Zero Mission, but consider all three to be near perfect games
2. Dark Souls- I refused to play it before based on how much I hated Demon's Souls. But I saw it for $2.50 so I gave it a shot and was hooked, becoming one of my favorite games ever. I never returned Demon's after the fanbase ruined it by legitimately insisting something was wrong with me for not liking it, but enjoying Dark is good enough to warrant a spot here.
1. Jak 2- I never got a PS2 until 2010 and this was the game I was most excited to play. I liked 1, but I had played other collect-a-thon platformers and I wanted to see what 2 did different. And was instantly disappointed. The checkpoints were far too infrequent, aiming weapons felt dated, and driving portions were frustrating. I gave it another shot in 2012 and everything just clicked. I stopped trying to play it like it was a more modern game and adapted to its differences and the game stopped being frustrating. I could then see how this and 3 are Naughty Dog's most unique games, even though they took elements from GTA, the way its combined with platformer mechanics felt like nothing else I've ever played and it might have my favorite platforming levels of the 6th gen.
Pak Watch: I still haven't got around to playing Dishonored 1 beyond around half the first level.
Good job on that run. I remember when I first hit five miles and even though I was slow as molasses doing it, felt accomplished. Now I can do 9 miles at a 7:15 pace, so just make sure to keep at it man. Also every time I see Crash now I get super giddy that it's coming to the Switch.
While I agree with that sentiment, I'm not gonna lie, I'd love a Sonic game where he goes to Sonic Burger to get a chili dog.

I know Julian will have my back on this one: The Mass Effect crew posing like the Ginyu Force from Dragonball Z with a Reaper fighting a Thresher Maw in the background. Have Shepard take Ginyu's spot, Garrus in Recoome's, Liara in Burter's, Tali in Jeice's, and Wrex in Guldo's.

I didn't play Mega Man 4 and am not a huge fan of the NES games. They're not bad, but the series got interesting with X to me.
