Well considering I beat it in a week from renting it, I only paid a couple bucks for it in reality. Would say I got my money's worth and will probably buy it at $20.

I'd say there are plenty of games better than it, so maybe not the first game. The Batman games, Mass Effect trilogy, Uncharted 2, Sly 4, and Fallout 3 are all much more worth playing in my opinion. It's a game you should pick up at some point, but not really first.
They really did. Hated 1's combat.
Well, I'd say the game's a bit of a roller coaster in quality. Parts are good, parts are great, and parts are terrible. That ending though is mind blowingly awesome and worth playing just for it.
It was a little rushed, but made put the game up a notch higher.
Really, if any gen was the time to release an underpowered console, it's this gen. Costs of developing games are higher than ever, so Wii U could be a haven for mid tier developers. It's already happening with Platinum Games- they could potentially get Sega's full support and any other guys like Double Fine. There's room for it, even more than the Wii for the hardcore, they just need to take advantage of it.
I can see what you're saying, but I don't think a double standard is taking place where people are more okay with MGS prequels than ones for both GoW's. With Gears, they gave us Baird to play as, someone who no one liked. At least MGS2 had its reasons for giving Raiden, Gears is all about feeling badass, something which Baird could not do like Marcus Fenix. Meanwhile God of War went from killing every God on Olympus to just fighting some weird sisters that felt a lot like weaker versions of GoW2's villains. MGS3 meanwhile is the fan favorite game despite not having Solid Snake. People are just going to accept it easier.
Truth be told though, I'm not sure if a new MGS is the right direction for Kojima period. I think he should move onto another series, keep MGS gameplay, but give a new world, new characters, even a new message. Nuclear war, a power elite, and what being a hero truly means. Good messages, but there's more of them out there and more ways to approach these ones in particular. I'll still play MGS5, but I have a hard time seeing a future where I do not consider 3 as where the series peaked.
I'm not sure if Dragon Age 3 really will be on them with how it will have transferring save files. We'll see though. I think Battlefield 4 was already confirmed for next gen though along with Destiny (fuck yeah) and Watchdogs. MGS5 I think has been confirmed as next gen also which next to a new Fallout on them (good call) would be the best reason for me to pick up a next gen console. I'd also want to see a Mass Effect on the next gen, maybe just canonize one of the endings since next gen won't have backward compatibility and go a thousand years in the future.
Is it scary? Or is it because we both have amazing taste that recognizes how amazing Joker, Rorscach, and Scarecrow are?
