No one really does. It's like playing World of Warcraft - it's dull, it's tedious, it's confusing, but you can't stop watching it.

And yeah, this is a game you really do get immersed in. The first one is great and dirt cheap if you want to pick it up, but this is still 24 bucks - and better. Though the first one will run on a lot of machines and arguably does a better job of easing players into the experience. It has a better tutorial I found.

The problem I have is that I kinda like the writing of Borderlands but hate everything else. I love loot. I love shooting. I love Hey Ash Whatcha Playing. But the bullet spongey enemies, ridiculous difficulty spikes and sheer multitude of balance issues and tedium just get to me after a while.
I've gotta say - Borderlands just isn't for me. It's odd: I love fps. I love RPGs. I love loot based games. Hell, I even fucking ADORE Hey Ash Watcha Playin. However, the game frustrates me. To me, they're tedious and unbalanced. Bullet spongey enemies just aren't fun to me, nor is shooting a guy ninety times in the head.
