I'm notoriously bad at joining sites like this and then not being active at all, but I've found myself reading and commenting on lots of posts. I'm definitely very optimistic!

I read it a few pieces at a time. I knew I'd be more interested in the older games, but there was lots of interesting information in the PS2 and 7th Gen sections that made it a great read as well.
I'm a console guy, although I did play lots of PC games back in the day (Doom, Doom 2, Duke Nukem 3D, Command & Conquer and Warcraft come to mind).
My intention is gen is to stick with my Wii U/3DS combo and to get a decent PC put together to leverage Steam. It's been a while since I did the PC thing, but I'm looking forward to it.
I love NIntendo games, so I want to stick with that. I didn't get the Gamecube, and as much as I enjoyed my PS2 I wished that I had both. It'll be hard saying goodbye to Sony consoles, I've had every one since the PSX, but the series that were exclusive to them are either multiplat (including PC) or I'm not interested in them anymore. My PS3 is basically a glorified blu-ray player at this point (still love my PSP, though).
That was a well written article!
Really sorry to hear about your pet. My condolences.
This is incredible and I'm totally stealing the idea when I make my next batch of beer, lol. I won't post it or anything and steal the thunder, too. Promise! I've been making a lot of wine lately, and I have a wheat ale that really needs to get brewed.
I haven't read any of them, so I'm definitely interested in seeing your older reviews.
I find myself either replaying older RPGs, or checking out remakes/reprints of the old games on new systems. I call my PSP my "way-back machine" for that exact reason!
A friend of mine borrowed my PSX back in the day and rented this game. He gushed about it all the time. He actually hates open worlds and stuff in RPGs, or at least he did. Although, he managed to get like every materia in FF7 (just sayin'). Anyway, he always told me to play this game.I watched him play once and I remember the HP throwing me off a bit, haha. It didn't have high numbers! I know it's all relative, but I was used to FFs where nearing end-game you could take off huge amounts of HP (especially in the later entries) and was thrown off by doing massive attacks for like 2000 HP damange in LotD.
I think I saw they had Halo 4 at $39.99, Halo 3 at $9.99 and Halo: Reach at $9.99, as well. Basically %40, or something along those lines. Not sure if it was a daily deal or something along those lines.
I played the first half of Dead Space and I loved it. I was in the process of moving, though, and I put it down and I just haven't picked it back up. I love horror games, so I know I'll finish it soon enough. I'm thinking I might pick up Dead Space 2 on Steam.
