I've been a zombie movie fan for a long time, especially Romero's "Dead" movies.  I do appreciate the "Return of..." series too, especially the first couple.

My favorite zombie movie is the original Dawn of the Dead.  I even liked the remake of it and think it is one of the better movie remakes I've seen, but I still prefer the original.

The recent popularity of the zombie genre has been kind of crazy.  It's brought us alot of good stuff, but it also making alot people tired of the genre.  Sometimes I feel like a zombie hipster...I liked them before they were cool! LOL.  Still, as long as we get quality stuff like the walking dead I'm excited.  I'm also curious about the Zombieland tv show that is supposedly being developed.

I enjoyed it, but I'm one of those that felt it was too long for what it was.  I've played every console zelda, and this was the first one that I felt that I was forcing myself to finish it because I had become bored of it.  Also, I could have done without the motion controls.  Sometimes they would work well for me.  Other times it seemed that nothing would work right and I could only win by flailing my arms around and getting lucky.  Still, not a bad game.

I really enjoyed gravity rush too. It's a very unique game. 

Hank III is one of my favorite musicians. I've seen him live a couple of times. I like both his country music and his punk/hardcore stuff with assjack.  It's really cool to see him do both at the shows. 

It would be a tough decision, but I think the SNES might narrowly beat out the NES as the console that I had the most fun with.  I still remember the day we got one.  It was a day that for some reason or another I had felt like skipping school, so I had pretended to be sick.  That afternoon when my family was home I had to continue acting like I didn’t feel good so that my parents wouldn’t know that I had faked it.  My mom and brother went shopping and when they came back my brother asked how I was feeling.  It became obvious that he knew I was faking.  He asked me in front of my mom if I was too sick to play Nintendo.  I had to say yes.  Then he said “I guess I’ll have to play this by myself then,” and removed a new SNES from a bag.  I was so excited that I didn’t care about pretending anymore.  My mom still only let me play for 30 minutes before she made me go get back in bed.

After hearing about this game for so long, I finally just recently bought it off the PSN.  I only played it for a brief time (I saved right after fighting the first rat creature) but am excited to get into it for real soon.  I'm just trying to finish up a couple of other games before I dedicate some time to it.

I get your point and understand it to a degree.  There are some times that I just want to play a straight-forward game where I don’t have to make any serious decisions.  If I see an enemy I jump on its head and move forward.

But I also really enjoy games that let us make decisions.  I don’t see this as lazy at all, quite the opposite in fact.  I don’t see how offering multiple options and having to design and program all that extra work and also possibly create a few different endings could be considered lazy.

 I do like the escapist aspect of gaming.  I disagree that having to make decisions ruins this.  I’d argue that it can draw me into the fantasy world that I’m playing even more.  If I decide to kill the rachni queen in mass effect, it doesn’t feel comparable to making a decision in my real life.  It just makes me feel like I actually have a little control over what happens in this world I'm playing in.

But people are different. That’s why there are so many different games.  Personally, I like both straight-forward games and those that allow me to “choose my own adventure” (even though the options are still usually fairly limited, understandably). 

I plan on playing this soon.  I'm currently working my way through FF tactics and also recently downloaded Parasite Eve, although I've barely started that one.  Once I finish both I plan on getting Vagrant Story.  I didn't own a PSP, so I'm loving that I can play PS1 games on my Vita.  Since I was content having only Nintendo systems for so long, I bought a playstation very late in it's life (after Tony Hawk came out) and didn't get around to playing many classics.

I really like the Hitchhiker's series too.

In books, my favorite sci-fi series are probably Herbert's Dune series and Asimov's Robot and Foundation series.

I'm also a big fan of both star wars and star trek (my favorite trek being deep space nine).  Firefly, Babylon 5, and Battlestar Galactica (the newer one) are also among some of my favorite sci-fi shows.

I've never played the atari version, but it was one of my favorite C64 games when I was young.  I'm excited to hear that it's available on the virtual console.  I had no idea.  Thanks for posting this!
