Personally DQ8 felt short for me. However I had just finished DQ7 so that might play a role. DQ7 is long as hell, I mean loooooonnnnnggggg.

I wanna say it was Casey that said it but take a break from the game after each palace. That will stop you from feeling burnt out possibly. I started doing that and it helped me. I believe it was recommended to take 2 weeks but I say take however long you feel ya need.
Sadly I too have had people tell me either I'm too old or even that a girl shouldn't play video games. Hell I remember several family members trying to tell my mom video games make you violent. However I'm a firm disbeliever in that. I don't think video games make someone violent. If your violent, you were like that to begin with. I've played games for years some quite gruesome and over the top but I couldn't see myself harming another human being unless trying to defend myself. I just don't have it in me and I don't see a video game bringing in that much change in someone. If your violent a video game didn't make you like that, it was there to begin with. Thats my take on that issue anyway. However despite the critics I've stayed with the hobby and will continue to do so. Video games are an outlet, just like other media to enjoy and relieve the stress of life and its many hardships.
I don't understand the appeal of sports. However I wouldn't call someone out on enjoying it. Its not my cup a tea but to each their own. Enjoy what ya love!
Your definitly close to beating it. The main story is easy and kinda short. You only need like 200 moons maybe to beat it. I dont know the exact number. Im quite excited for Skyrim on Switch but I dont know when Ill get it. My next paycheck I might have to choose between Skyrim and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and well.....Xeno will win that match. Might get Skyrim later on in December as a Christmas present to myself.
COD is the worst offender of this in my opinion. However people enjoy what they enjoy and while I dont get or understand the appeal it must make sales to always be brought back. However I could probably add a game to your list, atleast probably some people feel its just keeps going and that would be Dynasty Warriors. Now I love the series, however I can totally see and understand someone saying each entry is similar because technically alot of the stuff is similar but the changes they do make in my opinion are enough for me to still stay interested. Im actually really excited for the new one, there taking a open world approach with it.
Same here, it might get a mention but my game of the year of stuff is mostly almost decided and it didnt really change any of it. Waiting till Dec to make sure no late additions need to be added. I guess we are both insane.
It changes from kingdom to kingdom. Some are large and some are small. I would say there are more smaller kingdoms than huge ones in my opinion. When you go through each one the first time your collecting enough moons to go the next world. You can collect more of course but you only need I'd say 200 to beat the game. Maybe less than that. I would collect quite a few on first run throughs.
Halloween is my favorite holiday but this year I didnt do anything. Since my job didnt improve till now I had to let Halloween slide by but I did watch some horror themed stuff at least. Black Friday will be fast approaching now, I'm hoping some of the new games that released recently are on sale during it.
