Well sure these companies aren't going to reveal all of their games in one night. They do need to leave something to show at the next E3s. An interesting news item I read was that a Sony exec was asked about the possibility of Demon's Souls 2 but wouldn't give a definitive, "No" answer. Interesting.
I've read on other sites that Nintendo might be holding out for Space World or Tokyo Game Show later in the year. Most E3 games aren't even ready to be seen when they're shown and Nintendo takes a long time to make games. I'll bet they'll show Zelda or something new at TGS.
That's too bad. Birth by Sleep is the first game in the chronological order and Dream Drop Distance leads int KH3 I believe.

As for shooters, I really only play Battlefield 3 and looking forward to B4, but do we need so many shooters? No. The Order looks interesting, if it is a shooter but so many dark themed SciFi/War shooters? Why so many? Where are the platformers and whimsical action games?
Zombie Games
Rays the Dead, Dying Light, Walking Dead, Dead Rising 3, Ninja Gaiden Z, Plants vs Zombies Warfare, etc... I figure zombie genre was a trend from last gen but do we need more zombie games? No. A trend that won't die.
No RPGs.
Sure we got some Final Fantasy, Witcher, maybe I missed one? Elder Scrolls? But where are all the weird JRPGs that we complained about missing last gen? The lack of JRPGs last gen was one of the reasons I waited to buy a PS3. You would think that maybe VITA would get some. No?

Nintendo
I missed out on the Wii generation of games so I'm not misssing out on getting HD versions of Nintendo franchises. I look forward to all the HD Editions of DK, Mario Kart, 3D Mario, Pikmin, Zelda, etc. I would have liked to see FZERO, Metroid or Star Fox, but I suppose Nintendo needs to get more units out there first. I know there is a lack of "new" or innovation, but just look at the list of dissapointments and tell me next gen isn't a sequel to current gen.
Sony
The price is awesome. I was hoping PS4 would cost $1,000 so I wouldn't feel compelled to buy one, then it was $400, damn you Sony. No DRM is cool, now I can play in my nuclear submarine without worries. Indie games look so cool. VITA playability sounds nice.

Xenoblade HD - whatever it's called on wiiU, I want to play it
(XBO) Robot game - I like robots so I want to play it of course. It's also a new genre
I hate the MS pays keep games off of PS and at besbuy was stealing customers away from Nintendo by hosting their own events in Bestbuys too. Now they are fucking with our games as well as people.
About Nintendo
I skipped out on Nintendo games during Wii generation and though their games only have slight enhancments in HD versions now, these tired franchises feel new to me so I'm excited to play DK, Mario Kart, all over again.
Sony is just delaying the inevitable. If you check the PSN store there are plenty of great games on sale for like $20-- and that's without PS+, so good prices for digital downloads. I would have purchased some of these games if my HDD wasn't already full. So digital download doesn't feel so bad, aside from ownership issues, PS is already like Steam.
MS
A lot of journalists, a lot of them, are not so down on MS as the rest of the internet is. They know that this move to Digital Only is inevitable and aren't really fighting it like we players are. They are just embracing it which kind of pisses me off actually. The lack of discussion about MS DRM and always on from some of my preferred writers has made me loose interest in their writing. There are plenty of people who are buying into MS and don't care.
Eventually PS and XBO will become online services like Netflix or iTunes and/ or Steam. Sony is just easing us in a bit softer. It's like being smothered slowly with a pillow, rather being shot in the face unexpectedly.
