I'm glad Chris mentioned that NES Strider was not a port. It was developed in tandem by a separate team. (Come on, man, you ought to know this stuff from listening to Retronauts lol.) The weird thing is that they made a manga that tied into the story of the NES game...but the manga only came out in Japan and the NES game only came out in America. But the arcade game is the best remember and for good reason. I'd love to see an actual cabinet in action.

I'm with you on the meaty Knuckles design. Sheesh! And it's hard of for me to get excited for a new Sonic game when there are two out there already that I'm sure I'd enjoy (Generations and Lost World, that is). Still, I'm very interested to see how it turns out.

We picked up a copy of Halo Anniversary last year but still haven't played it. I've actually never played the original. Guess I'm missing something, huh?

I finished Killzone: Mercenary on Saturday. That's a really good game and even though it has gobs of replay value, I think I'll move on to something else. Not sure what yet. I need to play a console game. I've been enjoying my handhelds almost exclusively lately lol

Well that's new to me! I'd say the only thing more grotesque than that boss is the color that was played in lol

I'll throw it in the ol' backlog because it's free but I don't know if I'll ever get around to playing it lol

The only Tales game I've ever played is Symphonia. I liked the graphics and the music and (most of) the characters and the story but I never did fully grasp the battle system. Mashing buttons got me through most battles but bosses were a horrible slog that only a large stock of healing items could get me through.

Congrats on the new PS3! It's a great system and you've already got some great games for it too. I see that you've decided to get PS+. That's a good idea. They give you gobs of free games and you really only have to play a couple of them for the membership to pay for itself  Almost all my Vita games are from PS+ lol

Yeah, Les Miserables is great. I've had an urge to play a 360 game lately. Haven't fired that thing up in a while.
