Whoa, nice! It can be hard to balance work, life, and games. Sometimes blogging falls by the wayside.
I certainly have an idea of what I'd call the game of the generation, though I suppose it could vary wildly depending on your criteria.
I read an article about it a couple weeks ago on USGamer and I must say, it sounds pretty amazing.
Don't feel bad, Joe. Goaztecs basically has cheerleaders built into his name. He was bound to win.
I had written off Asura's Wrath but you guys have convinced me to give it a try...sometime. I don't have it right now but I'll get it sometime. Hey, I played Mirror's Edge and El Shaddai along with you guys and I had previous played Lords of Shadow, so I'm feeling pretty good about myself lol. I don't want to spoil things for myself, though, so I'll catch up with you in a couple podcasts. And though I'm not very anime savvy, I'm glad Ghost in the Shell got a mention. I love that series.
You hit pretty much all my criticisms and then some. It's a pretty good game even though it borrows all its mechanics from others and is too long. It's just not a good Castlevania game at all. I'm interested to see what the sequel will be like though. Could be quite different from what I hear.
I'm not even aware right now of what's coming out soon. I've had a lot to play as it is. A wealth of games, you might say 
I'm hoping to get Blood Dragon and Killzone Mercenary. Gotta wait till I get paid though.
Hmm, I should probably play the game first. Well, I'll need to buy it then. Well, I should probably play my copy of P3 Portable for my PSP 
Ah, the backlog. What a pleasant burden lol. All I had from this past generation at first was a Wii, so I played a lot of the games from the early years. I've really fallen behind, though, in the last couple because I finally jumpled on board with the other consoles. I have those Project Rainfall RPGs too and had planned to play them last year. Yeah, that didn't happen. Hopefully this year. Sin and Punishment: Star Successor is really good, though it's pretty hard. I never did beat the final boss. It's an easy game to go back to though.
